Thoughts From a First-Time Gunpla Builder
This was my very first gunpla, so consider my review knowing this. Hopefully it will be useful to newcomers and experienced folks alike.Well. I chose this as my very first gunpla because of how cool it looks! And after completing it, I'm not disappointed. I'll list the good and the bad points of my experience.GOOD:- Like others have said, the build process was quite easy and only took me a couple of hours. Perhaps three at the most. The instructions are fairly detailed, and while a few of them took an extra moment to fully understand, I was pleased with how helpful they were.- The individual parts snap together very well, and feel solid once put together. In the one or two instances where I had to go back to correct something, it took some effort with the tweezers to pry the connected pieces back apart again.- The plastic is very sturdy and mostly stood up to some attempts at filing away the nub remains on a few pieces.BAD- Probably the thing I dislike most about the finished product is the seemingly loose nature of the joints. When holding the completed model, even small movements will have all of the joints "jiggling" or "rattling." While not enough to have parts falling off, subsequent attempts at posing did present some problems. I found it difficult to move the legs too much without them slipping off (though they can easily be placed back on.) There are two areas where I had the most trouble: The circular yellow bits on the side of the feet have a tenuous connection, and can come off easily. Also, the clip that connects the shield to the arm has a similarly shallow connection point, making posing with it difficult.- The images of the finished product that Amazon provides above have been painted a bit, most notably along the panel lines and fingers, but also the shallow depression along the top of the head (Vulcan gun?) which is entirely white on the model. Also, the circular yellow areas on the knees, the pinkish lines on each waist, and the pink line below the head are all stickers. When looking closely at the images above, they almost seem painted on that model, and don't really convey how much they actually look like stickers on the real finished product. Therefore, without a bit of extra work, your model will look a bit different. (I finished my model before my markers arrived.) Also, the knife comes with the kit entirely white, so also needs additional painting.- The stickers! I never thought I would handle such tiny stickers. I'm sure more experienced gunpla builders are better able to handle this, but imagine trying to work with a thin, sticky slip the size of a grain of rice and placing it into a similarly small indentation. I think I can say that the majority of my attentions went into placing those stickers and then smoothing them back and forth with a tiny flat-head screwdriver.Overall the effort was well worthwhile, and I am very proud of the finished results. Of course, your mileage may vary based on your experience with models such as these. Like others have said, the model is actually quite small (smaller at least than I imagined it would be), although since it was my first I can't compare it to other gunpla models. Still, when sitting on my shelf it looks more like an action-figure than a model! The minor low points I mentioned were enough to take this from a 5-star review down to 4, but I would easily recommend this to any gunpla builder, especially beginners like myself.

Simplistic build for an attractive, alien looking gunpla
One of the most unique looking Mobile Suits that I have ever seen come out of the Gundam series and ever since I saw it I knew I just had to have a model to play with. To me it looks more on the lines of a power armor for infantry than a giant robot, so I can see this model as a base for other people's customs.Pros: One of my fastest builds because it was easy to clean off most of the nubs from the parts and only the arms and feet required multiple, small pieces to construct them. It's eyes are clear effect parts, with an inner foil sticker to catch light and bring focus to the eyes.Cons: It comes with relatively few weapons. A submachine gun that comes with a ribbon like effect part and a knife. It's backpack is also relatively simple. It's a single bulky, black part with a small black antenna on top. It's shoulder articulation is poor because of some fins that were placed right above them. If you try to move the arms to far up, they will simply pop out of their poly caps because of the fins placement. It's arm and leg articulation are average at best. The stickers for the knee caps and rear skirt verniers leave me wondering why bandai couldn't have just made small parts for them as the front skirt verniers need to be built and with small parts like that the knee caps could have been plastic molded in color too. It's lack of weaponry and poor to average articulation are pretty sad to see in a gunpla kit, but I absolutely love the look of this mobile suit and it was an super simple build for such a great looking kit.

Fast delivery and a great kit for new and experienced builders.
The item was received only a few days after the order was placed and I was thrilled to see it on my doorstep. As for the model itself, it was quite easy for me to build. I wouldn't say I'm a professional or anything like that, It was quick and if you're just getting into gunpla this is a perfect kit that is also fairly new. The articulation is fair, and the arms do disconnect from the shoulder polycap sockets if the arms are raised too high, but can be held in place if you're careful. There is minimal panel lining but it is needed on the abdomen and head. The head articulation is very limited, only turning about 65 degrees left or right and can easily come off it turned too far. On the other hand, or leg, I should say, the legs are very articulate and stable. The one aspect that caught me off guard was the height. It stands about an inch shorter than other high grades. It's not an issue, but it is a little odd seeing it next to my other kits. Overall, the Grimorie is a great build and is very aesthetically pleasing, even with only 3 accessories (shield, firearm, and a knife). I would recomend this kit to anyone who enjoys building gunpla.

Nice and ugly, the way I like them.
I love how different this mobile suit looks, and the kit does a great job capturing the look. It only comes with a few stickers, and doesn't suffer for it. The lower center of gravity on it makes it very stable when posing, which is great, and posability is good. I especially like the texture of the brown parts for the kit. Unlike virtually every other kit I've bought, the brown have a nice satin-looking finish, instead of the normal glossy texture, and it looks so good that I wouldn't want to paint it. I really wish Bandai would use that kind of texture for more kits, it makes it feel more substantial somehow.Accessories are minimal, and can all be held at once, which makes keeping track of them easy, but does mean you're a bit limited. Not a problem for me though. This is one of my favorite 'ugly' mobile suits, up there with the Tieren from Gundam 00. I recommend it.
