Vanini Dark Chocolate 86% Cocoa - 12 Bars

I LOVE this chocolate!!! (FYI...I am reviewing Vanini 86% dark chocolate. I ordered twelve 3.5 oz bars.) I eat restrictive. I follow the Wheat Belly way of eating which is basically grain-free, sugar-free, low-carb and high fat. It is a challenge to find products that are compliant with this way of eating and still taste GOOD. Even though this chocolate has sugar in it, the amount is low enough to be “OK” for me in small quantities. Each bar has 10 squares. One square has 1.2 net carbs. I eat one square almost every day. Usually I eat it plain, but sometimes, I top it with a teaspoon of my homemade peanut butter. Oh, yum! I’m sure some will say the chocolate is rather pricy. To me, it is well worth the price. My sweet sister-in-law and her husband gave me an Amazon gift card for my birthday. I used the card to buy this chocolate and I think about their sweet gift every time I eat a square. At 10 squares per bar times 12 bars, that’s 120 days that this gift gives me pleasure. Sometimes, though rarely, I melt some of the squares and use it in cooking. It melts very well in the microwave and always lends a wonderful flavor to whatever I put it in. My order came from Vanini. They package it very well with a cold pack. It arrived quickly and completely intact and in mint condition. For a while, I could purchase this chocolate at a local grocery store. The store was rather out of the way for me and not one that I shopped at frequently but I would make the trip over to it just to buy this chocolate. Then, that store stopped carrying this brand. I spent well over an hour reading the ingredient lists and nutrition information of other choclates to see if I could find another product that might be compliant with my way of eating but the net carb count for other brands was much higher. I was fearful of ordering this product online because it was very important to me for it to arrive intact (not broken). I’ve ordered this at least twice and none of the bars have been broken. I am very happy with the quality of this product and with the convenience of being able to confidently order it online.

Not all dark chocolate lovers have the same tastes. I liked its distinctive flavor but think it may be an acquired taste for many.

I have purchased Vanini 86% dark in the past, and had always been satisfied with the quality. However, the batch that I purchased recently-two packs of 12 bars each-made me sick. When I called the company and told them, I requested a refund for the unopened 12-pack. They refused my request and denied me any refund.

Does not take like the traditional dark chocolate and it is very Keto friendly. To describe the taste it is more tart and berry like than bitter with hints of chocolate. Overall its a great product and will satisfy your sweet tooth if you get sudden cravings.

I will buy it again.

The best 80%+ chocolate, IMHO. Great for a low carb snack.

The best dark chocolate I had tasted!!I eat Paleo, and as so I avoid sugar. I was trying many different brand of Dark chocolate, 85% or darker. Many of them contain bad ingredient, Vanini have all good ingredient.The most important part, taste, it’s smooth and creamy. You can’t even feel the bitterness (because there isn't) that is the dominant taste in so many other brand, and, it doesn’t leaves you with bad aftertaste.My kids (6,5,3 y/o) Love the Vanini 86% chocolate which is amazing.

Honestly the best, healthiest, best tasting, lowest calorie, super-dark chocolate available. Buy tons and enjoy!
