does not work!
I purchased this watch to replace the purple 2.0 which I previously owned. It worked well for counting calories but the battery died out. This watch has a chest band heart rate monitor feature which is pretty much useless and so far inaccurate. The calories are off as well. I'm dissapointed.

The watch is nice looking and feeling
The watch is nice looking and feeling. It accurately reads the pulse and also calculates calories and fat burned. I don't like that this information scrolls automatically, but you can lock it so you can see only one of those measurements. It does not account for the possiblity that your actual maximal heart rate does not match your theoretical, so I had to input an incorrect age to compensate. It adds up all your calories burned in all your sessions (up to a limit). It also has the function so that you can do exercise within one zone of your heart rate. I would like that it gave both time of exercise and heart rate in the same display, I don't care much about the calories and fat burned during the exercise. All in all, for the price I paid it is a great watch and pretty just as a watch. Sometimes the maximal heart rate recorded during as session is way off the maximal real one.

Good deal!
Everything works. The heart monitor has to be wet and then stuck on, then you sync them- wearing it all day, every single day...might be a bit much. I would recommend just for intense workouts to stay in or check your zone. The watch itself is nice, it has a glow feature (I run at night so that's a plus) and so far, it's all good. I bought this a while ago and I'm pleased. Overall, it's a good buy since I used to have the Polar brand (way more expensive) and it did the same exact thing.

worthless piece of equipment
Did not live up to it's claims of being simple to use or is ability to monitor one's heart rate. Absolutely disappointed!

Looks good but does not work
The watch looks great and was fairly easy to setup. The main reason I purchased this watch was to measure my heartbeat and that feature just does not work. I followed the instructions and tried very alternative and I can not get a BPS reading. Very disappointing. If you want a sports watch with a stop watch feature than yes. If you want to measure your heart-rate and other exercise stats, stay away!

Love the look, but not easy to workit.
I bought this work mainly for the calorie counting feature. The description did not mention anything about a heart rate being included that is required for any of the exercise features to work. It took me a week of rereading the directions, looking for help online, talking to a rep from Oregon Scientific, and having my husband fool around with it to figure out that I need to change the batteries in order to get the other features to work. However, you have to be quite active to make them work. I still like the look of the watch enough to keep it and will wear it often, but more without the belt than with it.

Inexpensive and effective, 4 stars
Not a solid build (watch band is minimal) but it seems to work well. For a reliable reading, I switched the chest band to digital. Analog seemed unreliable. Signal picks up quickly. Resting pulse was accurate across two 5 minute tests. Given the cost I gave it 4 stars. Chest band on max length was still tight, someone very large may find it too tight. Takes a little work to set everything up and learn the menu, but seems user friendly enough. Picks up the signal from my old chest band (oreg scien) but only in analog, so using the old chest band reading jumped around (apparently picked up some interference in my house in analog). Haven't had it long, so can't tell about how long it will last. For a really inexpensive price, does the job. Tried it in a 20 minute aerobic workout and the reading for the average heart rate was accurate (I knew about what it should be). No problems using it.

This is trash!
Completely unable after repeated tries to get this to work. Finally threw it away.
