Seahawk (XXL, Sand Dune)

Good hat for sun protection and wind . I use the hat while golfing. The size is just right not so large a brim as other sun hats. It’s best in cool weather, the hat is warm and can be too warm when it’s really hot.If they had a model with more ventilation up top i would buy it!

Great hat. I looked along time to find a high quality hat. The fit is perfect. Follow the directions onmanufactures website for measuring.

The unique front brim is perfect. I have a large head and the XXL fits great. It keeps the sun off my ears and neck also.

Hat fits very well... Nice to find a hat that still has a bit of room on my big head. Unfortunately, I don't think the brim is wide enough for fishing in the Georgia sun. I have an OR Sombriolet that has a wider brim that I prefer (tho I wish it had more room). I also was not a fan of how the stiff front brim looks on the Shelta.

So far so good with this hat. I was able to wear a buff under it on a cool, rainy day by adjusting the fit. On several hot days it has protected me from the sun, kept me cool and has not been stained by sweat. I haven't tested it sailing in good wind. I hope it stays on as well as the Tilley hat it replaces.8/16/2018 Fifteen month review. I'm downgrading my review to 3 stars. The hat is badly sweat stained. This may be because I usually slather sunscreen on my bald head before putting on the hat and I perspire prodigiously. The stains are an odd pink color. The chin cord works, but isn't as good as that on a Tilley T3. The shock cord size adjustment has lost its elasticity. And finally, the stiffened brim in the front does work well in brisk winds, but it looks kind of goofy.

I am a long time fan of Tilley hats and on several. This is my first of this hat but I love it and I’ll get more. It is lighter material but the formed brim stays in place not matter how wet or windy. The light material makes it more comfortable and cooler.

Awesome hat. I'm a believer in the Shelta design. Great quality and features. I have a large head, so I got the XXL Seahawk, then adjust the cinch in the back for a perfect fit. Great product and fast shipping.

Very well constructed and designed. I will probably also buy a blue one just because. And excellent purchase.
