Pretty much an exact replacement.
Put the batteries in, pointed it at my TV, and it worked.The original remote for my Sony tv had been acting up for a long time, the directional pad would only respond left and the power button stopped working. I had put up with this for several years because when I looked up a OEM replacement it was over $100. Then one day after frustration of switching inputs I decided to look again and found this for under $10 so I took a chance despite some mediocre reviews.I don't know what some people are complaining about. It works great. I actually like it better than the original. The biggest complaint was about how the buttons pressed down. The original was a soft felling but this has more of a hard with a small "pop". To me that pop lets me know I've pressed the button, on the OEM could never tell.If you need this remote don't hesitate.

Works but took two to get the working one
"pretty much like original"At first glance. Buttons are stiff and the center ring is smaller than the original SONY control makes scrolling difficult at times.First one not functional. Cheerfully replace by supplierConsistent design and quality would be good to sell an OEM exact replacement.

Did not work
Tryed to sets of brand new batteries. Remote never worked. No instructions. Did not work out of the box as stated. No contact info on seller so returned. What a pain!

The buttons are very difficult to operate
The buttons on this remote require multiple times to press it before it sends the signal to the television I would not recommend it

Exactly like original remote!
When my old remote died, I found this on Amazon. For less than $10, it looks and works exactly like the original. No setup, no programming. Just put in batteries, and voila! Love it!
