Roman "der8auer" Hartung has now discovered that the Delid-Die-Mate 2 works not only with CPUs from Intel, but also with the Raven Ridge APUs. The heat spreader of the APU fits exactly into the shape of the Delid-Die-Mate 2. In order for the slide to rest evenly on the board of the CPU, Der8auer has designed a suitable adapter and added the slightly larger screw that was required by the adapter to this expansion kit.

Well worth it and extends diemate 2 use.
Over the past few months that I've owned this AMD adaptor, I've delided several AMD apu's. It works great, but should be included with the diemate 2 in my opinion. The only con I can think of is not a con on the diemate 2 or this adaptor, but with the apu's themselves. The amount of force needed to separate the IHS from the PCB is 2-3 times the force for an Intel chip. It's perfectly safe and that's not the problem. It's just painful to hold onto as the diemate edges really dig into your hand and you can't help but want to grip it in a way that might bend/crush the exposed APU pins.On the third APU I delided, I remembered my workbench vise and locked it into that. So if you have a vise, put the diemate into it instead of holding it.On a side note, Intel chips delid with alot of extra slack that can drag the IHS across some of the smd on the PCB and break them off. AMD chips just break free as the diemate runs out of tightening slack. So you'll know the IHS has broke lose as you won't be able to tighten the screw any more. Almost zero movement after the IHS comes lose.
