Moo!

Its a fun book to read with your children!

Both of my kids adore this books. One of the first we read them and they still want to read it frequently (4.5yo, 1.5yo). So simple and so silly.

Such a fun book and great for teaching punctuation too!

After we borrowed this book from the library, my 5-year-old did not want to return it and I promised to but her a copy we could keep. It’s a simple story of a cow borrowing a car with humorous results. We read it at least once a day, and she often read it by herself. “Moo” is the only word used in the story, except on the last page, where “bah” appears. But the enjoyment comes from the inflection, the bold or small print, and the punctuation used on each page. The illustrations provide clues as to how the cow is speaking. Perfect book for learning to use context clues and make inferences.

Everyone will appreciate the creative simplicity of this book that only uses one word until the surprise ending. No one ever reads it the same way twice. I bought it for my grandchildren but have been sharing it with adults who all think it is entertaining.

Verity of intonation to express meaning

Another favorite book to read to my pre-k class!! The book only uses one word “moo”!! It’s a great book to help little kiddos experience punctuation by listening to the “reader’s expression of the word Moooooooooo! or Moooo? or Moo Moo Moo.” Tons of fun for the reader and kiddos. Clever teachers will love using this book to expand their students understanding of punctuation and vocal expressions!

I cannot write enough positive things about this book! It is simply amazing, creative, and original. Who would have thought to write a children's book with (mostly) one word!?! It is truly a lot of fun to read. Plus, it helps build my son's confidence while reading. He can also build language skills while reading this book. He has to focus on the punctuation, and the facial expressions of the characters, to correctly read this book. It is educational and so fun. I would recommended this book over and over again!

MOO! Moo moo moo-moo moo. Moo? MOOOOOO!!! Moo moo moo moo mooooooooo moo...[SPOILER]I didn't like the part with the pig scolding the cow but the part about the cow scapegoating the sheep was great. Babies LOVE this book.

It's a really good book! Only 2 words but so much expression. It's great to teach the different expression and feelings your voice can convey and to teach prosody!

One of my favorites and so great to teach kids about punctuation and reading with expression. My Kindergartens love it and can read it themselves.
