Petronics Mousr Interactive Robotic cat Toy | Plays Automatically or by Smartphone Control | Voted Best cat Toy 2018

I have been looking for this tech all my life especially after buying so many toys that either my cats weren't interested or that I had to push toys back n forth to keep them interested. I've had Mousr for 4 months now and actively using it every day. Most people already captured the cons of it like battery life, having to adjust or recover or just press play again after it gets stuck to resume, but whilst those are very true unfortunately, the idea, attempt and the fact that it makes wonders while keeping my cat of 4 years old still entertained is incredible! They are constantly improving the Android app, introduced all day play mode to conserve battery as much as they can.That being said, product definitely needs improvement. As the battery unfortunately isn't best as its tiny, they can take a look at the many vacuum cleaners and Vector Robot by Anki and make a return to home and recharge when battery is low. Needs navigational improvement as well. I don't think the confine play area ever worker for me. It'd be nice if it could map out the house or floor. Not sure how vacuum cleaners navigate...Also being able to hold the tails constantly at an angle would be improvement.Traction wise, it's rear wheel drive and tail is at the back, so most weight is at the back, so it tends to spin it's tires a lot consuming the battery. This I guess is nature's fault as they're trying to stick to real mouse's silhouette :)Anyways, I usually keep the settings at Wall Hugger mode and sometimes my cat just likes to watch it from a high ground, sometimes goes after it and really plays with it especially, interestingly when it's stuck somewhere and actively tries to free itself.I've barely used the Precise Mode, but I use the manual mode a lot. It's really fun to wiggle the tail close my cat, it engages her.She likes the bounce tail more than the flick, because it has feathers and sits upright.Mousr works in 2 ways. Either double click the button on it to engage auto mode or use the phone app to connect via bluetooth to manually control or set to auto mode.If it had a tiny camera and if playing worked over wifi (in addition to bluetooth) it'd allow remote playing even when I'm traveling or at work or something...Well endless possibilities for improvement. I'm currently just glad with it's capabilities and was worth every penny.Worth mentioning, something had happened to the speaker as it wasn't functioning as loudy as before (of couse it wasn't settings related), I emailed them, returned the product and got it back repaired in a week. Great customer service! While at that, the sounds Mousr makes also captures my cat's attention. No it doesn't meow, more like a chime and a whistle sound. 3 sound levels exists.In short, for a 4 year old 10lb cat this is the best toy that she could probably ask for now which enables me to be even lazier :)It's great and works as advertised, thus 5 points. Room for improvement for sure but, I'm not going to give lower score for that and discourage people. This is an awesome product! I hope they'll make a second version.Sorry for rather unstructured review!

We ordered the Mousr to keep our two two-year-old cats entertained when we're working from home and they want to play. Overall it has been great and the only reason I gave it 4 stars on durability was for the tails. The device itself has held up very well. The only thing that I really wish it had that it doesn't is a protocol for retreating to a charging port and recharging itself when the battery gets low or at least getting away from the cats in between play sessions.Pros:- Keeps the cats interested- Autoplay feature means we can turn it on and just let it do its thing- It handles cords on the ground, rugs, etc. pretty wellCons:- The battery life was a bit of a disappointment. It has a feature called "all day play" which spreads out the play sessions, but I hadn't considered the fact that meant that the tail was immobile for the periods between play sessions, which has let the cats destroy the original tails the device came with.- Sometimes it rushes towards my cats and will bump into their paws. I'm not sure if that's intentional or not. It doesn't seem to hurt them at all, but they definitely don't enjoy it.

Was so hyped about this product. Read reviews and some articles online. Thought this was going to be the best product I've ever bought for cats. At first, the initial excitement for the cats was great. This lasted a couple of days before I started to notice the flaws... too many flaws, especially for such a high price point.The idea is great but it needs a lot of work.- The app is horrible and doesn't respond well as a remote control. You point one direction and it goes another. Try to move forwards and often times it goes in reverse. I only use in auto mode and have tested all the preference options to try to find what will interest the cats the most. Seller states that there will be updates to software and updates to programs and options. I have yet to see any new programs or beneficial updates.- The chase tail gets stuck in the wheels so it basically is a total loss.- The bounce tail goes sideways often instead of straight up and down so ends up not doing what it's supposed to. They should have put a notch into the tail insert to keep it from rotating sideways and just laying flat on the floor.- The bounce tail's feather was easily ripped off within the first couple of days. It needs to be made much stronger as I am sure most everyone has lost most of the tail feathers within a short amount of time. The replacements are ridiculously priced, especially since the feathers come off so easily.- The product itself becomes dumber over time. No matter what I do, sometimes it goes and sits in the same corner of the room and I have to keep moving it. It didn't do this the first month or so I had it.- Overall, the mousr becomes more erratic and doesn't interact the way it used to. Yes, even after cleaning the tire axles and the sensors.- The battery life needs work so that it can stay 'alive' for an entire day and be charged once daily. I know people use it more frequently or not and that different settings use more power. I am talking about the Stationary mode on medium settings even.- The $150 price point is WAY too high for what you get. Someone stated that it would be an ok deal at $49.95 and I agree.- The worst part is that I had read about the founders of the company and how over time they created this product. I was thinking that we would get good customer service and be able to correspond with issues. Take a look at their warranty and return policy. It is so complex and pain in the butt that if I had read that to begin with, I wouldn't have even gambled $150 on this. There is no phone number to discuss issues. Only contact is by email which is really difficult to deal with when trying to explain all these issues and hope that they come up with fixes and updates. I think these guys don't even run the company, they have a distributor or something that handles everything so you don't get very good support.Oh well, after a couple of months of using this product, I learned that it wasn't close to worth the $150. I am very disappointed with the product and the company as I had such high hopes. This could be a great product, but they really need to fix the above mentioned things and give customer support and reduce the price. For $150 for a cat toy, this thing should already have all the above remedied and feed your cat filet mignon.

Short battery life but charges very fast. My kitten plays with it every day. Older cat just watches. It is too expensive for what it does. Not as smart as a Roomba vacuum; which the kitten likes to watch too; entertain and clean. Maybe Roomba needs a tail.

This is the most expensive thing aside vet bills possibly available for a cat! However I took the plunge and bought 1 as early xmas present for my 2 3 yrs. old cats. 3 days of use now and the novelty for me and my cats is still good. The mousr is an awesome product with very capable AI which will entertain your cats for a good 45 mins to an hour per charge, charging taking roughly the same time. 2 tails are included, 1 died kinda fast but its easy to add own attachments to end to extend life. I saw that some were put off by battery life but I do not agree as I find the life perfect for my cats enjoyment. I do recommend this product, high price but its leagues above anything else on market including more recent kickstarter items. App for control is functionable but a little buggy, but once your settings are in you don't need the app too often. So to sum up if u can afford 150 on your cat, do so. ( I have also bought the 8 extra tails available, awaiting arrival )

My cats love this. Got it for xmas, However the feather has already come off and I don't think I can get a replacement. Tape and a feather is not really what I wanted to have to do.
