Anodized Aluminum 2.5mm Bonsai Training Wire 250g Large Roll (60 feet) - Choose Your Size and Color (2.5mm, Black)

I bought this wire to wire a dogwood tree that I had to dig up out of the ground and put in a big pot, it was not happy in the place where it was planted. Its about 6 years old aprox. 6 feet tall and its branches are very straight but flexible. I just want to bend a bit to bring the branches to the front for when it blooms in the spring. I have included photos of what I am trying to do and one with branch with my little finger to show the size of the branch about 1/2 inch or less. The wire is 2.5 mm copper in color and very easy to bend and work with. I am very new to this bonsai sport, but it easy to fall in love with. I have learned a lot watching you tube videos on it and highly recommend for learning, there are many to choose from. OK, back to the wire perfect and seller fast ship and fair price. I thought this was a good value so I placed the order. It was not brown, it was a dull, but still shiny copper color. The gauge was supposed to be 2.0, but it was more like 4.5 or higher. Not at all what I was expecting for Bonsai. Very disappointed. The packaging was nice, in a clear zip plastic bag. Returned to Amazon. Customer service very good.

I am just getting started and bought a set with all different thicknesses. Only it stopped at the really useful thickness --this one! I need to bend some branches to get them to look wind swept and this one worked. Had to remove the previous ones but glad I did that. This will work for branches that are thicker than a pencil.

The outside coating for this set of wires are cracking for some reason. I’ve ordered from this company before and never had any issues but these don’t seem like the previous quality set. When wrapping my bonsai, I can see flakes from the wire cables. Not happy with the quality.

I got bonsai wire a while ago for a bonsai tree but found that I used it more often to help hang my wall mounted cork bark ferns to the wall. The wire is very nice brown color. It doesnt look out of place.

At 4 mm this will hold quite a large branch for shaping on a bonsai. It is good quality finiah and I like the brown color as it blends in well with my tree.

Using this to shape young citrus trees. The wire is easy to form and holds its shape well. Good value and will buy again if I run out.

I was surprised at the amount of wire contained in this roll. (I won't have to order again for a couple of years!) It has an attractive copper finish and is stout but still flexible. Great for training thicker branches.
