This watch took me a few days to get used to. With the online images, the display does not look dim due I guess to good camera angles and lighting. However in reality, at first the display seemed to me dimmer than I really expected the makers to think is ok. And in half light it really looked dim. So the surprise of the dim-seeming display made me consider returning it, but I liked the quality, functionality and sense of character of the watch so I left it in the box for a couple of days in case I made a hasty decision! Then the next look, would be decisive! Since I knew what to expect now, how would it appear. On returning to the watch, I knew then that I could work with it. Then after a few days of use I got totally used to the different approach to display and am happy with it. So that's the somewhat over-dramatic account of my encounter with the DW-5600BB-1ER. Some pluses: It has a great sense of character to it. It has a really cool greenish-blueish backlight, that fills the display perfectly at the perfect level of brightness, so that is always a delight to use. It's functionality is relatively simple but what it does it does well. It has a good quality feeling resin strap. The matt-black color of the strap and case is essential to the style of the watch and works really well. I use different holes to prolong the life of the strap, as the watch suits a tight or a loose feel. It is of course very strong and yet not heavy and the glass seems great quality. Sometime I think I would crank up the digit brightness just a little notch if I could, but then I wonder if its not maybe actually just right for the watch the way it is...!

Value for money, ease of use

I've just received it. Came from Europe some days before as expected.Appearance is just superb.My wrist is thin and it looks fine. Everybody likes it. Modern and traditional a the some time. I like that I haven't seen this model before, so quite and exclusive gadget.Ruberized traditional Gshock removable front cover. China made. WR20bar. Metal hexagonal gift box.Visibility is fine. Nice blue light with lower right button. Traditional gshock rubber bracelet is thin and the watch and band feels really light. So if you want a bulky big gshock this is not for you.

The style is very nice, sober, without all the normal Casio colors and signs.Screen a some light conditions hard to read, but not so much of a deal. Bought the watch some too expensive, found out it is a model for the european market, probably that's why in Amazon USA it was more expensive.

I wanted a simple black watch without all of the useless decals and small writing around the clock. Also, I don't need multiple time zone, number memory, multiple stopwatches. I need a watch to tell me the time, sound an alarm, run a timer and run a stop watch. Also important was having a screen which displayed time, date and day constantly. So this is the watch for that simple, does the job, without all the bling.Great watch, a keeper.

This shipped from Germany and got here way before the estimated delivery date. The watch it self is awesome. Its all black and and easy to read even with the glare right on the face of it. The glow is a light green color. I use this watch in the pool everyday and it works perfectly nothing wrong. 5 stars

the watch is fine except not smooth enough, the edges finishing is a bit rough on the skin. it's functional and practical. and looks very smooth. also, the price is unacceptable, usually it costs about 20 percent less so this is a small robbery but it's hard to find one like this for some reason.

Gli orologi Casio sono tutti belli ma questo modello della collezione G Shock total Black è davvero stupendo. Design minimalista, non troppo grande, quindi perfetto per chi ha un polso piccolo. Leggero e di facile lettura in tutte le situazioni. Le funzioni sono davvero poche ma per chi è in cerca di un orologio sportivo, magari da utilizzare al mare o in piscina, resistente e a poco prezzo, questo è l’orologio giusto. Consigliato
