36 Volt Golf Cart Battery Charger Crowfoot Connector

I am very pleased with this purchase. I thought initially that it was broken because it wasn’t turning off and going into a float mode. I ended up contacting the direct vendor about it and spoke at length with a gentleman who was extremely knowledgeable and very kind. It turns out that my batteries were not allowing it to enter into the float mode. I did end up purchasing new batteries, still skeptical that it was perhaps the charger that was the real problem but lo and behold it works perfectly now!

So far so good. It's lightweight and charges fast. I'm not sure if it's regulating a full charge well yet. I have only seen the full charge light once I stop it and then turn it back on. It will then show full charge. I'll update this review if it fails for any reason, but for now it's getting the job done. The club car charger it is replacing was at least twice as heavy. I'm not sure if this equates to quality or an advance in technology.

I bought it for my father in law for his golf cart. He likes the unit and has worked good for charging. His only complaint has been there is no meter on it so he doesn't know how charged up it is until the indicator light turns to complete. This was a bigger deal to him and he wished he had known that before we bought.

I researched a lot of chargers for my new batteries. Originally went with a lower amperage charger for under a hundred dollars. Seemed like spend under a hundred or spend five hundred. The cheaper charger never turned off. Couldn’t risk cooking the new batteries.This charger is so much more robust, and overall better built. The wire quality and plugs are much better.The most important thing is that I received the best customer service and education I could've asked for when I asked a simple question by email.Thank you Scott in sales, you guys are clearly making and selling a quality product that you stand behind.

Had this for three months. Stopped working. A hundred dollars a month? Not pleased.

When our previous 36-volt golf cart charger died it was time to find a new one. The old one was big and heavy- a chore to lift and move around. And it made a loud HUMMMMM!This charger caught my eye with its 13-pound weight and universal (110 to 240 volt) AC input. That suggested a switching type power supply with NO heavy and noisy iron-core power transformer. The small fan makes a quiet "whooshing" noise you can sit next to and still talk! The charger includes a rocker-type ON-OFF switch on the front panel.The charger arrived on time and works as advertised. We've used it for about a month now with excellent results. UPDATE- STILL WORKING GREAT AS OF OCTOBER 2014. In 2014 I made the mistake of using this charger in 100F weather and in bright sunshine. It quit and tripped the 15-amp breaker on that circuit! Reset the breaker. Took the charger indoors and let it cool down. When cool, I connected it back up to the cart and it is charging again!We use the Crowfoot connector- the one with two angled blades that fit the American 30-ampere electric dryer outlet often installed on older golf carts (like our 1973 Otis).

Went out only after 3 months - seller would not honor warranty or let us return, directed to go through manufacturer which requires shipping fees and more money to fix etc . NOT HAPPY

This lightweight battery brought our golf cart back to life and has traveled many miles since the beginning of summer. She will be going with us this winter to warmer weather too!!!! It has done a great job.
