Solar Spotlights, Colored Tree Spot Lights Solar with Remote Control, 9 Colors Fixed or Auto Change for Yard

It's now 2023, I ordered these in 2020, they are still going strong! Still light up beautiful colors!

Worked ok but remote only works in very close range. Have left lights in automatic mode for several days and lights do not turn on every night. Not very bright. I’ll be looking for better lights.

I bought this with plans to re-engineer into a porch light. I liked the design that the panel and light housing were essentially 2 separate units connected by a hinge. I basically took it apart, added a longer ribbon cable and inserted it into my porch light housing (with the solar panel on the outside). The result is a porch light that fades through varying colors that doesn't add to my electric bill. It's not spotlight bright (in fact, I had some concerns when I first turned it on because it was dim, but playing with the brightness settings on the remote placated that initial observation), but it's bright enough to be noticable from the street in the creepy dark neighborhood I live in.If you approach this with the knowledge that it's a small solar panel that powers 4 LEDs and that it's not going to be super bright, but you have several shades of colors and options to display the colors (for example fade, flash, or steady on a specific color) - I believe I got a solid product for what I paid.*Motion Detection for these panels mean sensing when it is dark enough to turn on automatically. They will not turn on at all if there is ambient light. They don't just pop on when there is motion around them. Also, I bought this set because of the remote and knowing after I had it mounted, access to the light directly would be near impossible- so the ability to work it like a porch light from a remote AND control its functions are VERY handy.

I actually love these lights. I just realized they come on outside my bedroom every night and they have for over a year. I just set them up a long time ago and left them. I used to he able to change the colors with the remote through the wall. But I think I need to go turn the switch off and on or replace my batteries in the remote.I live in Oregon. These are exposed to bright afternoon hot sun. And wind and rain. Lots of rain. And they have lasted over a year. Maybe 2 years. The color is nice and I have had no issues. 2 wont light up your entire back yard. They make it about 18 feet to my tree from outside my bedroom window. But, I am sure they would look even better if my tree were closer. It's not a bad purchase and you can get the instructions here in comments. Slide the switch to the left they say. I can't remember what the switch looks like. I put them up and have not messed with them.

I have this for 3 yrs already and it’s still working good. The light isn’t too bright and not too dim either, it’s just the right brightness. One of the best purchase that i did at Amazon.

The product photos seem to suggest a much brighter light, but these are more like accents. The thing I’m so impressed by is we bought these in 2019, mounted them on the deck and they’ve been working ever since. I don’t even bring them in for the winter. It may be hard to see in the photo, but the lights cast a very nice accent on our hill side at night, and illuminate the trees, wildflowers and fountain. Great value.

I have rated this at 4 stars because it is working in comparison with the one from Home Depot which didn't. As this is its 2nd night in use and still part of the original install I can say so far so good it is working as the ad and booklet stated. Will know more after the expected rain tomorrow as the book says the angle of the rain and the quanity play a part but doesn't give any parameters

I've had these for less than a day so i can't speak on durabilityPros: lots of color choices, has a remote option( only one i found that has that), charge lasts a long time, lights look good, set up is easy, solar poweredCons: Can't turn on the lights during the day because their only dark activated, there are NO instructions on what the remote button does. The range of the remote is 10 feet. There is no warm white color option.

Having read the reviews and having received answers to all my questions from the seller online very promptly, I decided to go for 3 sets of these above others despite them being at the higher price bracket. The range of colours are very pleasant and warm. Build quality of lights are solid. Unfortunately the remote controls seem pretty hopeless which was one of the main features I was attracted to - they simply don't work very well. They almost decide to work when they want to in a random fashion despite having brand new batteries in them. You also literally have to place the remote next to the device to work which defeats the purpose. So I like the lights but the remote is a bit hopeless.

It has been 1 year and both stop working, the units are nor weather proof, water and dirt got inside and rusted all the cables.

I bought 2 of these a year ago and they're still in perfect condition. They work well, great colours and they're brighter in the summer. I got 2 hours today (Dull day in November) . I've set it to one colour (red), don't use the RC much. Not suitable for a security light tbh and better used as spotlight type lighting.[Update - One of these has completely died, lasted 15 months, down to 3 stars]
