Great filter socks, good overall value. I used a heavier felt filter sock before these. These are more flexible, easier to use and to clean. After a complete rinsing, I soak them in a bleach solution, and they hold up very well. The heavier ones seem to polish the water a little better, but that is a subjective observation, and I'll need to continue my obseervations.

These are great! The only issue is the felt on top of the sock (plastic ring is bonded) eventually wears off after several runs thru the washing machine. So just snip it off! It doesn't affect it in ANY way! Beware that the socks get dirty quickly (which is a VERY GOOD thing!) so be sure to swap them out so all the junk this 100 micron sock removed, doesn't sit & rot in your sump!I only wish they had 50 micron!!!

Very durable and easy to clean. The quality is far superior to the overseas brands which I have also tried. I just reordered 5 additional more. These will last many months-years with proper cleaning. These are not disposable, they are easy to spray clean and replace. Highly recommend. I prefer the shorter sock due to the fact that my sump is filled with live rock and space is limited.

The filters are fine. The only issue I have with all five of them is that they do not fit quite well on the sump leaving an opening betwen the sump rim and the sock rim letting too much unfiltered water to go through. I do not have the same issue with my other filters although some water leaks in between with this new ones there is a flow of water going through.

Good product but for the price but I would rather throw them out once they are used. Much easier than trying to clean them.
