This is a 216 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of Nicoletta Ceccoli's "It's My Party." The puzzle design by Zak Erving features multi-piece whimsies of rampaging monsters and the heroes that fight them. Connectors include footprint shapes and very round knobs. To see example pieces, click on the small image below the product image. This puzzle has a straight edge and an average difficulty. Like all our puzzles, the pieces are laser-cut from 1/4" thick wood. Made in the USA. Packaged in a small box with a magnetic clasp (cut the seal, don't tear).

Beaautiful puzzle
This puzzle is made out of wood, cut with a laser. The print is glossy and beautiful. A very nice gift. The puzzle comes in a very nice box that is sealed, inside the pieces are nestle in tissue. I bought it for myself for my birthday and put it together as soon as I got it, it was a lot of fun. The pieces are cut into unusual shapes so it isn't any easy puzzle to put together but it isn't very big so it was just the right amount of puzzle fun. Its an expensive puzzle but i can see keeping it for a very long time and bringing out once and a while and revisiting it.

Fun and a little challenging as Artifact puzzles go.
After one does all the easy and fun stuff in the middle the two large fields of black and grey can be a little challenging.

Abstolutely Lovely puzzle!
I just finished this puzzle, and it was an absolute delight! As ever, the puzzle pieces are a joy to handle due to their being made of wood, laser cut very well, so the pieces fit together cleanly. But as the dragon head emerged, it became fun to see the image develop, and with all the whimsy pieces, I just seemed to be smiling so much of the time. The puzzle isn't hard. Sure, there were some areas where the piece was a bit harder to find (such as on a few places on the edges), but overall, this would be an excellent puzzle to do with a relatively young child (7+) who has shown a liking for puzzles. There's a sweet little surprise within the puzzle - I suppose a super ultimate whimsy piece - and it was fun to place. You can easily plan to make that be the last piece you put in, and that's fun in itself. I've found with these puzzles that they sometimes have a kind of game within the puzzle. The genuinely creative and unique whimsy pieces go beyond just cool shapes and shapes representing the theme of the puzzle. A combination of pieces sometimes form a much larger "shape" such as bigger swirls, or several of the shapes combine to make a large spiral.I find with a lot of the Artifact puzzles that there's more to doing the puzzle than the average puzzle because of the variety and uniqueness of the whimsy pieces. I do have a couple AP puzzles that I dislike, but they seem to be the much earlier puzzles, where the shapes are of various sizes and remind me of a kid's puzzle because some of the pieces are huge, but some are of normal puzzle size. Too many of the edges don't clasp together - just rest side by side, so it takes a quarter of the puzzle to complete before it will stay intact as you work it. I have been buying the puzzles now for a year and probably have about 25 - 30, and so buy keep buying the newer puzzles for the most part. Each puzzle is unique, and I find that so odd. Most people can only come up with new things so long, but AP keeps coming up with new twists to their puzzles, which I find amazing. They don't tend to repeat their creative ideas from one puzzle to the other. There is often something completely unexpected, and I have over 2 dozen AP puzzles. This is one of the most creative companies I've come across in some time. These puzzles are worth the price, hands down. And this It's My Party puzzle is the sweetest AP puzzle of all. So far anyway!

A party of a puzzle!
I have done this puzzle twice now with my 13 year old, and both of us just love it. It's easy enough to keep him encouraged, challenging enough to keep my interest, and contains delightful surprises that emerge as you put it together. The wooden pieces are appealing to handle and fit together so well that it takes some effort to break the puzzle down when putting it away. I own several Artifact puzzles, and while this isn't the most difficult, it's definitely a favorite.
