This size was selected based on performance testing in the classrooms of young children: The 4-inch size fit completely underneath seated student bottoms and prevented most students from pulling at, fraying, and ruining the sit spots The larger sized (5 and 6 inch) Spots had a tendency to tear when removed from the carpeting. The larger sized carpet spots deteriorated prematurely from students pulling at and fraying the edges. Visual cues were not compromised using the 4 inch sized sit spots markers. Very easy to apply and then remove, just grab the disc edge and pull it up. Can be used hundreds of times as the nylon hook is strong and durable. They are only 4” in diameter, flexible, adhesive, non-slip, safe for kids, easy to run the vacuum over them, the alphabet can be written on them, even draw numbers with chalk or write with permanent ink. They will stay put and super easy to transport to any event. NOTE: They only stick to commercial and home closed loop pile carpeting. They do not stick to open pile or long shag carpeting.
