`Excellent.
I used this to complete my thrid Turducken. Before I had this, I would use a knife to cut a hole in the skin and thread the butcher's twine through. This made the process a lot faster and easier. I initially thought it was too big at first, but the length is perfect for making a stuffed Turkey.

Perfect for Roasting Pigs
Ordered it for my husband to close the roasting pigs, He was totally happy with the needle and said it's as good as the one he used in the past. Very sharp and works great! Would purchase again!

It works!
This needle works! It can pierce through pork skin easily unlike the first needle I ordered. I was able to sew the skin together. I had to figure out how to use it first though. Wish it came with instructions.

A large sized, sturdy, well made product - You could truss a bison with this thing.
This is very very well made. Points, curvatures, eyelet and finish are all excellent! I have not really mastered the knotting techniques and would be grateful for a clear illustration(s) and/or video's of techniques. I seem to take forever but when I watch a practiced butcher or chef they are pretty quick and seem to have particular knotting for push through needles versus this, awl-with-eylet style.

Easily tie, roll and put meat together!
I am a butcher by trade (retired). For Thanksgiving every year I do a Turduckin without the duck. If you are going to do any rolling, stuffing or just plain putting things together, it is much easier with a meat sewing needle. Great price, great quality!

Heck yeah.
It's definitely bigger than what I'll ever need, but it makes me feel like a Texan... in Kansas.
