SilverlineSolid Forged Contractors Fork 1050mm (630035)

Arrived double quick time, spent time looking for a strong fork, and found it. Went into the allotment today, last week my spade would not break the ground, today straight in and out came 10 lovely carrots. The fork is really strong and the weight helps in the digging, the tines are really strong, don't think they will be bending. I feel this one will last me out, great bit of kit for a bargain price.

Sturdy for general garden usage

I never imagined that at the age of 64 I'd be doing some of the heaviest digging I've ever done in my life. Having recently moved to Wales (together with all my "normal" tools) there were some plots to be dug for a big greenhouse, and I soon discovered the site was a steep bank because it had been a dump for rocks and rubble for some years. This soon wrote off my best garden fork, and when the time came for a nearby area to be cleared for 2 large fruit tree beds I looked around for a replacement. "Contractor's Fork" was the phrase that did it for me (as well as the price) so I ordered one and the next day (thanks Amazon Prime) it was being put to good use on the plots. It's strong and sturdy, and after a couple of weeks it's still going strong. It's heavy though, so if you're looking for a tool the Memsahib can tote appealingly around the borders I'd look elsewhere.My only issue (and the reason it only gets 4 stars)? It came with squared-off tines, so before using it I had to grind them to points to achieve some degree of penetration in the parched, boulder-strewn earth. Otherwise it's a great workhorse that should outlast me.

This is a superb garden fork at a great price. It is extremely sturdy and well-made. I used this fork to lift and remove an 8ft x 3ft piece of turf down to 6inch deep, it handled it with ease. A great purchase and speedy delivery by Amazon Prime.

Very happy, heavy weight, heavy duty , feels sturdy even on rocky ground

Two of the prongs bent the first time I used this fork. I thought it was going to be stronger.

Good Strong Fork, i little heavier than your average garden fork but i'll take tha,t as it did so much heavy work when taking all the lawn up. would recommend if you have heavy digging.
