Start French New Edition (Learn French with the Michel Thomas Method): Beginner French Audio Taster Course Audio CD – Unabridged, 24 Jan. 2019

We're moving to France and I'm a complete novice with the language. I've looked into numerous other learning mediums to get a grasp of the language but I've found them so complicated I gave up.This is a whole different way of learning. I'm almost hypnotized, my unconscious seems to be absorbing the words - I know, that sounds crazy but that's how I feel.I listen to it on my drive to work (4 times so far) and I've learnt so much.I'm going to buy the rest of the set now to learn more.

I bought this to help brush up my French for a forthcoming trip. I found it helped pad out words I remembered into proper sentences. Just listening to the cd in the car regularly has enabled me to remember and retain the phrases....a really good technique. Once I've grasped the basics, I'll definitely be buying the intermediate level. A very relaxed and enjoyable way to learn.

A clever technique for learning. I feel I learnt more French using this cd then I have done before in a very short space of time however as the starter pack it is very limited. If you just want some practical French for a trip it will be helpful but if you want to learn the fuller language it's probably worth skipping this cd and getting the full versions.

Very good teacher and his method is very simple. Only fault is I couldn't download it to my MP3 ir phone so I'm having to lug around an old fashioned disc player when I go out walking. I understand the reasons for copy protect but I wish now I'd purchased it in Kindle mode

Really quick & easy to get into I wish I had been taught this way at school it keeps you remembering by associated learning & shows you how to apply the accent & sounding of sentences. I listen to it in the car even on short trips to promote remembering such good value for your money

I learned 'O' level French decades ago.This is a well-explained reminder of useful expressions for every day survival.

I use this for long car journeys. Definitely improves my french! So easy to follow and you can always go back to any disc for more practise!
