Talon: Ashes & Embers, Book 4

I have no words.
I haven't felt all the feels and cried all the tears that this book gave me for a long time.I was skeptical about starting this one, having read the prior 3, Talon has always been a very back bench character, rarely mentioned but, I was totally hooked from the first couple of chapters. Such a great storyline (which I didn't think it would be from reading the blurb).Talon is known as the c**kstar in the band and not much else, Asia comes from a very low, dark place with very little to her name and has suffered having her heartbroken many times. He just wants someone to love and understand him, to still be there in the morning, to want more than just his eleven inches. Asia wants stability, a family, love. They enter into a social experiment whereby they get married without knowing each other first. The experiment lasts for 6 months, and what a roller-coaster it is. I read a lot of books, this is the first in a while that has had me laughing, grinning, angry, crying with heartbreak and crying with joy and love. Even the little section included at the back about the original Talon and Asia, the cats... I bloomin cried. Will def be in my top 5 reads for this I think.Excited to read now about Asher, but I need a few days to process and attempt to get over the book hangover I know I'll be in tomorrow.

Beautiful, touching, funny and sweet
I’ve read all Caryan’s books and of them all, this has to be my favourite. The story is so sweet, so delicate and incredibly compassionate to both characters.Mega rockstar Talon agrees to take part in an experiment to marry a total stranger for six months to see if experts are better at finding true love for us than we are by ourselves. A social recluse from the ghetto is his match and the story follows the couple’s ups and downs as they try to learn to make sense of each other and their feelings. The book is written with charming humour, both characters adorable on their own way. Talon’s cheeky and cocky charm (as well of his Viking good looks) makes him someone who will steal your heart. Asia is so sweet and plagued with self-doubts, she is someone most normal women could relate to, much more easily to the long-legged, big-chested women who normally fill romance novel’s pages. You don’t need to read the other books first to follow the story, but honestly, you should as it will enable you to really get a sense of who Talon was before he met Asia.A definite must read.

So damn good
Whoa this is some kind of crazy plan for a life together - fill out loads of forms and have loads of interviews then sign up to marry a complete and utter stranger all you know is that they are going to be as you described your perfect partner to be THEN you walk down the aisle and marry them for 6 months and after that decide if its an ender or a keeper. The thing is that when Talon and Asia meet at the altar neither is the perfect partner they described and from there the story of their life together begins, I have long waited for Talon with his muscles, ink, dirty blonde hair and even dirtier mouth not forgetting to mention the 11 inches (he measured it) of his sex god anatomy for which he is famous making him #cockstar. At times it almost felt like an intrusion into their life together such is the way their tale is told from both their points of view. Talons relationship with Princess Pixie made me laugh out loud too. When the twist comes and its one heck of a twist I physically sobbed for them both - their anguish was so real I wanted to hug them both and take their pain awayI laughed cried sobbed and got so turned on with Asia (Jellybean) and Talon (Tarzan), I have been a long time fan of Carian Cole and she never fails to deliver, I love the Ashes & Embers series so much.I tend to judge books by how slow I read them the slower I read the more I love it as I never want it to end - well I bought this on the day of issue and I have just finished reading it and have to say I am so very sad to turn the last page.So role on Asher .

Love Talon and Asia 💗
Out of all the stories in the Ashers & Embers series this is still my favourite. Vandal maybe my favourite character but Talon and Asia have the best story.I think it's because they way they meet and get together is so different, their story is funny, sweet, Intense, passionate and all consuming. I absolutely loved it the first time I read it and loved it even more the second time.

Loved this book, an unexpected gem
I had not read this author before but the synopsis intrigued me and I'm glad I got the chance to read it. It was not only a great read, wonderful characterisation and story, but it also was not completely predictable. I really loved the characters and quickly felt emotionally invested in there story. Talon and Asia are only the beginning as there are further books featuring Talon's brothers and cousins too. There are lots of other books which on the surface appear to be similar but these stand out because of the quality of the writing. I loved the premise, which actually made the arranged marriage sound believable, it features two very different people willing to take a chance in order to find happiness, despite both deeply sceptical. This book, is funny, sexy and poignant. Be warned. You will have your heartstrings tugged.

This would make a great Valentine's Day movie.
This was a great read for all those who like a Cinderella story. I could just see a Valentine's Day movie beckoning.Girl can't find a nice boy: boy can't find a nice girl.A fairy godmother in the form of an experiment. They're complete opposites...Can they find true love when they see each other for the first time on their wedding day?I really enjoyed it. The characters, Talon and Asia, were funny and well written, you could see where they were both coming from and, of course where they were heading. The journey though, not so much. There's a surprising turn near the end for Talon which will affect future stories of the band. It's a five star. There were a few things that were brought up in the beginning of the story that weren't followed through to the end and I wanted to know about them, but in reality they didn't affect the flow.Contains some sex scenes.
