Suede Deluxe edition= A classic made even better.
Suedes first album is one of the highlights of the 1990's-a major classic and one that helped kick start the so called 'Brit-Pop' era.Brit-Pop era, a time when many bands when back to their British Roots. This first album is great but the remaster is beyond amazing.Suede is in my top five bands for releasing songs on singlesthat did not appear on albums. Like the Beatles and the Smiths before them,Suede always included a couple of unreleased songs on each singleso fans have something new to look forward to.This release includes the album and all the b-sides.Later on, Suede would release "Sci-Fi Lullabies" a collectionof their B sides. Even though that set was outstanding, it didn'tinclude every B side- pretty much just picking the more popular ones. With the Remasters, all the B sides are included that were recordedaround the time of the main album. This set also includes a concert from the time period, another bonus. One of my pet peeves with bonus concerts on cds is that many timesit's a show thats many years past the performers prime and has nothing to dowith the time period. I wanna hear a concert from the tour of the album !Springsteens recent remasters do a great job and they seem to 'get it'.Well same with Suede. The dvd contains two concerts and the promo videos made during the time period. So you get the complete album, which sounds better, all the B-sides, several good demostwo conerts, the promo videos.Suede has set the standard for special edition releases.Well done !PS I didn't bother reviewing the album itself, there are plenty of reviews on Amazon for that. This review is for those that are curious if the Special Editions are worth Buying.A big fat YES !!! and it's a great value !!

I'm not sure how to feel about this.
I love this album to death and was truly excited to have all of the b-sides, videos, rarities, Brit Awards performance and two live shows (especially Love and Poison) in one package. I figured I could shave some space off of the cd rack since all of the artwork for the singles was included as well and the bulky Love & Poison vhs case, but after hearing this "remastering" job I'm afraid I will be keeping all of my original discs. I thought at first it was my headphones distrorting slightly then my computer speakers. So I tried the stereo and even playing through Polks it's almost unbearable at moments and the demos are really hard to listen to which sucks because I was really looking foward to them. Overall this deluxe edition is worth 20 dollars just for the DVD alone as well as having "Brass in Pocket" and "Just a Girl" as bonus tracks but be sure to keep the original releases until they sort the remastering out.

She Can Start To Walk Out When She Wants!!!
What can I say that I haven't already gushed about, with these edsel reissues?! They are gorgeous, and must haves for rabid fans. And what better band than Suede?!This beauty also contains the classic Love & Poison video on DVD, not to mention the high quality early b-sides all on one disk, including My Insatiable One, To The Birds, and The Big Time. It would make Morrissey and Caligula blush! Of course the best, the cream of the crop, is the album after this, 1994's Dog Man Star, along with the ultimate single, Stay Together, but this here is where it all began. I now have Suede, Dog Man Star, and Coming Up, all reissued by edsel, and I truly am the cat that swallowed the canary! Sing on! Caged bird.Seriously though, follow my lead, and get these three reissues. You will be overjoyed. Also, there's no longer any need to have Sci-Fi Lullabies!

Just a poor printing for such a marvellous release
Suede's self tittled first album was a landmark for british music, such was the hysteria created by fans, critics and the media around the band. This remastered deluxe edition has 2 cds with the album and lots of b sides and some rarities ("Brass in pocket" is such a great rare cover, for example), plus a DVD with clips and the "Love and poison" concert, previously just released on VHS.It's just a shame that the cover art looks so badly printed, outshinning the marvellous edition.Even so, all the Suede's albuns special deluxe edition worth their price, and are a must have for fans or people who likes britpop and/or lived in the 90's listening to good music at those times!

more than expected
A fantastic group with a great debut. The B-Sides alone are worth every penny. Suede are one of those bands where everything they write is awesome. Another group that reminds me of them is Slade, however that is another era. I think I would agree with most reviews though that putting out a "remastered" version is really not needed. I thought the original production was suffice. I would rather like to have all the B-Sides. To me that is where they shine much more. I have all of the singles up to "Coming Up" and not one bad tune.

One of the best debut albums of all time! Do yourself a favor
One of the best debut albums of all time. It's full of bangers and elegance: unparalleled wit and unmatchable talent from Butlers playing to Bretts writing and androgynous style/singing. One of a kind band, the magic on the two records are up there with Roxy's first two.

Compressed
The deluxe edition of suede is the worst sounding album I've ever heard. As with all "Deluxe Editions" of this kind, they compress the hell out of it. Its noticeable from the very first hit of the drum in "So Young". I only buy deluxe editions for the extra tracks. Otherwise they sound like crap and should be avoided. Another victim of the loudness wars.

Great reissue of Suedes classic debut
Exhaustive immersion edition of debut.Great to have bs and outtakes.DVD is interesting more than essential not something I'll likely watch again. The "conceptual"concert footage is hilariously bad, mind you don't get motion sickness when watching it

Really excellent rerelease of this album
Really excellent rerelease of this album. If you already own this album as well as the album 'Sci-fi lullabies' you may already have most of the content; but there's some rare content added, most notably the demo versions of some of the songs which are well worth buying this album for.

Now That's What I Call Suede!
This is a great deluxe edition and puts recent reissues by the likes of Queen to shame. For under a tenner, it doesn't get much better than this.

Very influential debut album. The sound of the angst of teenaged turmoil.
