This book is a must for anyone who has ever found it difficult dealing with a man who doesn't express his emotions, and for anyone who hates 'Women are from Venus, Men are from Mars' type thinking! A profound insight into the way patriarchy has impacted on our ability to love.

I enjoyed the writing style, which was sharp and brought the subject matter across at a good pace. A lot of times, the insights resonated with me. There were the odd sweeping generalisations about groups of people that I found unnecessary and likely, wrong,which undermined the overall impression, but on the whole an insightful and interesting read.
