The powers are cool and the free roam is awesome but missions are not good and story is boring and too short.

The nicest game i ever played. Good graphics. Good story line. You will have too much power in this game. You will love it.

Awesome game. Shipped to me quick, in perfect condition. I didn't even realize it was Radnet edition til I got it.If you liked the first Prototype, you'll definitely love this one. I've only played a few missions so far and I think this game couldn't be better. Fixed many issues the first one had, and added lots of things to make it a better experience. Worth buying, forsure.

I liked prototype 1. I borrowed it from someone and beat it. I liked the twist ending but I felt the game lacked emotion. Trying to save your sister wasn't enough. I felt prototype 2 had a lot more emotion and gave more of a reason to continue playing. The hives in the first one were kinda cool at first but were inconsistant with damage and certain attacks. I thought the attacks had more feedback and force to them in Prototype 2 and I liked how the side missions had a bit more reason to them in terms of memories/story. Honestly you'all have more fun with this one and don't worry they don't make the main character a stereotypical black guy. He's good and I felt he added to the feeling of the game in a very positive way. The final boss was too hard sometimes and it wasn't bad but I think they could have done more rather than just make you switch a few powers. But then again most boss fights were good because they made you actually have to watch and learn to beat them, and the mid city chases are pretty fun. I had a lot of fun with this game.

前作のゴア表現と爽快感に惹かれてこのシリーズのファンになりました。 まずこのゲームは超人的な力を余すことなく使える箱庭ゲームです。街を超高速で走り回ったり、数十メートルはあるジャンプ力でビリを飛び越えたり、一般人を残酷に殺害したり、軍人や戦車などを相手に暴れまわるなどやりたいことができます。GTAの様に一般人の車を乗っとることやショップで服装を変更することはできませんが、戦車やヘリをハイジャックできるようになりますし、街に存在する全ての人を殺害吸収ができる為、服装どころか容姿自体を吸収した人に変えることができます。ストーリーは、本作の主人公が前作の主人公に力を与えられるというもの。ストーリーを進めるにつれちょいちょい登場する前作主人公に「おぉ!」「オォ?」「オォオなぜ!?」と自分はなりました(笑)1をしてない方でもアクション好きで超人を体験したい方は買って損はないと思います。基本はお使いミッションで単調ですがスキルやステータスがUPしたらすぐに一般人で試したくなったり力の解放を求めてしまうという中毒性もあります。前作と比べて、操作がしやすくパワフルで爽快に更に格段に画質が向上しています。前作との変更点・回避がしやすくなった・画質の向上(ブレード形態のブレードの光沢など)・□と△に形態を割当てて使用できる・街がグリーン、オレンジ、レッドの3つに分かれていて感染具合が違う・前作の様に軍隊がうじゃうじゃわかないのでいい具合に大暴れできる・エアダッシュがR2から×になった etcリストラされた点・アーマーモード・形態を変化をさせる際の長押し変身シーン・グライドからの急降下 etcざっとあげました。ゲームとしてとても完成されているので買いだと思いますよ!

It was a great game, I was impressed.

I will start off by saying that I really like the original Prototype, even with all the flaws. The story wasn't great, but the abilities and awesomeness of Alex Mercer completely made up for it.Prototype 2 improved on every aspect of the game I can think of. The biggest flaw criticized was the story. I really liked the direction Activision went with by introducing a new protagonist (James Heller). Mercer was never really a likeable guy, and his motives were somewhat questionable. At least in Heller he has clear motivation for the madness that follows. Although P2's story isn't fantastic by any means, it definitely added more feeling and character appreciation than the original. During the first game, I didn't really care about any of the characters. Mercer was just told to kill/consume this person by some random character that didn't stay around long. P2 actually had character development with characters related to the story line. Unlike the original, Heller had to interact with the enemy (instead of just blending in) to find out more information.The core abilities and powers pretty much remain the same, but they feel much more powerful this time around. Some new awesome abilities were introduced, that I won't spoil for everyone not informed. But for example (not a spoiler, it won't change the story and was announced before the game came out): you can put people down! In the first one if you picked someone up you had to throw them into a car/building/tank/person. But now you can actually have the choice of not murdering them. Of course I just used this to drop people off the top of high buildings, but hey it's a nice option. Also, when your weapons are upgraded not only will they perform better, but they also look more badass (unlike in the original). I beat the game on Normal Mode and now am playing through on Hard(+), which means I start out with all my powers acquired the first time around. Heller is so badass, I have barely worried about any kind of threat so far, there are a half dozen ways I can end it quickly.The graphics were greatly improved as well. While the gore is pretty animated the world is the biggest improvement. I won't go into detail, but downtown Manhattan (NYZ) is sooo much better and I was really surprised by how awesome it was.I would definitely recommend this game to anyone, especially if you enjoyed the original Prototype. It's worth it to buy it new for the Radnet Content. Bonus missions and abilities can add to the overall length and enjoyment of the game.Review for the PS3 version.
