Really nice jacket, hope it keeps me warm
I am 5'3 and 116lbs. I bought the Small so I can fit some warmer layers underneath. It actually is a very flattering jacket. A bit long on me (lands at just an inch or two above the knee). It is so lightweight, when I brought in the box, I thought there was no possible way a jacket fit in there. It's too warm here for me to tell if it's actually warm, but in a few weeks, I'll be testing it in Seattle's November. The hood is cozy and lined with nice fleece, and the sleeves were a good length for me - when I tried the heavenly short jacket, the sleeves were almost comically long. These land about mid-palm for me. I can't wait to wear it. I hope it packs up nice and small for my trip, and I will be eager to update how it goes. Overall, love this jacket (I wish it was a tiny bit shorter, but better too long than too short, right?)Edit:It was perfect for my trip! I went when it was 45-50 degrees and it kept me warm (perhaps even a bit too warm in certain settings, like being in the car, but that's not a downside) and it protected against windy weather super well. I wore a thick hoodie underneath and was very comfortable wherever I went. The hood is a bit small if you're wearing a beanie or a hoodie, but otherwise, I'd say it's a great jacket. My only gripe is that the arms aren't insulated as well as the rest of the jacket. When it began to drizzle I could feel the coldness of the rain on my arms, even though the rain didn't soak into the jacket.

Lightweight, Packable & Great fit!
I am a petite (short) 4"11", 100 lb female who has struggled to find a winter coat that I don't "swim in". So after reading other customer reviews, I ordered the X-Small. Columbia has nailed it with the "Heavenly Long Hooded Jacket". First of all, it is amazingly lightweight and very packable for travel. The outer shell has a nice water-resistant sheen to the fabric and the inner shell has the dotted Omni-Heat thermal reflective surface for helping retain heat. It's just the right amount of warmth without making you overheat. The hood and collar are lined with a super-soft comfy fleece. The hood is just right for fit and hugs your head without flopping from side-to-side or covering your eyes. Zippered hand pockets are great for securing your phone, wallet or car keys. There's also an additional hidden inner zipper pocket. The cuffs come with the thumbhole to keep the draft from climbing up your arm. The length is just right allowing for 3/4 body coverage and yet easy to move about. It has a 2-way zipper allowing you to zip from the top-down and/or the bottom-up depending on your preference. I love the quilted jacket design which provides a soft, feminine shaping contour which is lacking in many brands. The X-Small size allows for me to wear a long sleeve shirt and a sweater underneath without feeling confined. This jacket has a great feel and fit and you will love it

Lightweight Warmth
Love the color and the lining. I got it big enough to be able to wear layers. I usually get coats that are only hip length, but this is so light I thought a bit more coverage would be good for those windy winter days.No smell, pockets and the loops for my hands are perfect. Haven't been out in the weather yet, but Columbia specializes in this type of outerwear, so I am confident it will work very nicely and keep me nice and toasty.

Columbia never lets me down
I'll start by saying that I am already a huge fan of Columbia outerwear. I've owned jackets and fleece from them for years. They are designed for real people who spend real time outdoors...you know...for those of us who do more than just run from the car into a grocery store. After a hip surgery gone bad that has left me less active than before, I have gained some weight...not much, just enough that my existing Columbia Mighty Lite jacket can't have layers added underneath. I can still wear it, but there are times when I need to warm it up with extra clothing under it. So I went in search of a longer jacket that I could size up for layering.I couldn't tell by the descriptions of this hooded jacket and the Columbia Mighty Lite hooded jacket what the real differences are...so I ordered both, knowing that one would go back. I ordered them both in black and did a side by side comparison. At a glace, they look pretty much the same. Both are beautiful. And both fit pretty much the same, although this one (the Heavenly) had a bit more room through the shoulders which I love. The Heavenly has a black fleece-like fabric inside the hood...the Mighty lite does not. For this reason, the Heavenly coat's hood stayed on my head better and was definitely warmer. While both jackets seem to be the same thickness and weight, the Heavenly was warmer than the Mighty lite. The Heavenly jacket has quilting stitches that run through all of the fabric panels, the Mighty lite does not...the quilting stitching is only on the outside fabric. I don't know if this makes a difference in warmth or not. But the Heavenly felt warmer, which is what I wanted. Both jackets have an inner zip pocket at the chest and both have thumb-cuffs at the wrists. The sleeves are plenty long which I love. Often, when I forget to wear gloves or think it's warm enough that I don't need them and end up wanting them, I love to be able to just pull the coat sleeves down over my hands. Problem solved. Both jackets have the obvious quality feel that one expects from Columbia. In the end, I kept the Heavenly and sent the Mighty lite back due to the warmer feel of the Heavenly. The true test came when I walked the dogs in it on a 45 degree day. I was PLENTY warm in it...and at times a bit too warm. This made me happy, as I got this jacket for temps that are colder than this. I have other jackets that will work in 45 degrees. I'll be testing it more when winter arrives (it's fall now).
