Great game but a bit not class

Got this for about £22 and it’s ok at that level. Hoped that the letter holders might be wood but cheap plastic, unfortunately. The rest is ok though

Easy to assemble and to take apart.

Try and find a new Scrabble board with a turntable that isn’t 30 years old and new in the box! This was brought out in 2019 so that’s close enough for jazz although my Scrabble is brand new and never opened. It is incredibly robust so that is translated in its weight, definitely not a travel scrabble. Turntable base is low profile and turns smoothly but it has a rubbing sound which is a little irritating.I can’t make my mind up about the ‘tackified’ tiles. They are less prone to being displaced by jolting the board but they wouldn’t remain in place if the table was moved abruptly. Being a little OCD I find that placement of the tiles relies on the persistence of the player, the tiles will be skewed if the player is slapdash - I end up tidying the tiles 🙃, that’s the benefit of the tile lock systems. And the tiles do stick to each other in the bag so it is hard to separate your selection. I might add that they are NOT sticky. Overall I still love this version and looks great in any home setting - quite iconic in a way

Handy pad for scrabble players. No more hunting around for scrappy bits of paper to keep score.

Excellent value, the fact that it spins around on a lazy susan is a handy touch.

It looks lovely but the board is flimsy and folds into quarters. I wouldn't spend that money again on this version
