So far so good
I had cheaped out last year and bought 2 of the $20 cd players on here. The Jenson and the gpx model and both really were terrible. So once I saw the CD player I kept it on the list for a few months and decided to buy it and man oh man this is as close to mid 2000s Sony as you get these days. The thing actually remembers where you left off when you turn the player off. It is so awesome. Both cd players I bought last year had a digital hiss during cd playback and no such issue on this model. It actually looks and feels like a Sony model from 2005 or so. It is really a good throwback. I was not expecting much but Hott you have done it!!!!!! :) So hats off to you. Also a few more very cool things this does. So it is no joke when it says the portable cd player is rechargeable. Imagine if we had this back in the 90s we would have been good. LOL Plus the cd player is very easy to use the the EQ settings work quit well. Tip: Turn off the anti skip feature and the player will give you as pure CD sound as you can get from one of these units. The antiskip is good if you are moving around but if you want an awesome audio experience and hear cds the way they were intended to sound just turn off antiskip. :) Thank you all so much for reading and I really hope you enjoy this player like I do!!!!!! Another note: If you are looking for an AM/FM radio this does not include such a feature unlike the old Sony units did. Also, the unit does not have an external speaker. So it outputs the audio to a 3.5 MM port where you can connect headphones. You can connect it to car stereos that have no cd decks and it is a very good sounding player for the car. :)Week of ownership update:Well guys, I went and got like 3 or 4 bags of CDS from a thrift store so that is over 100 CDS and I have played them all on this CD player with no issues. I noticed some people have said their players stopped spinning CDS. So I think I happened to get a good unit. I hope this thing keeps up because I really do enjoy this CD player and the audio quality is very awesome and yes it cranks some volume if you put it all the way up. Just like the old 90s CD players. I have literally felt like I'm back in the mid to late 90s with this thing.

Just what I was looking for
I was looking for a portable CD player I could use in my car as a lot of newer vehicles no longer have built in CD players--something I missed. I read that another buyer had bought the Hott Personal CD player for this purpose and it worked excellently for him. This product has exceeded my expectation for the purpose for which I purchased it and as a device I can use in my home. Note that the CD player does not have a speaker and one listens via the excellent quality ear buds that come with it. My car is a 2018 Hyundai and it has an installed auxiliary audio input. So, all I needed to do is buy a double male auxiliary audio input cable (about $8.00) to connect to the CD player and my car's auxiliary audio input and have excellent sound right through my car speakers. The sound is exceptional. The CD player fits right on a flat surface on the consul right where the audio input is. There is no skipping. I play CDs I have purchased and ones that have songs I've burned. There are different sizes of the double male aux. audio cables, so you can see what works best. I did not look into it, but I believe there are small speakers that one can purchase in order to hook up to the CD player to play music, etc. in your home. The Lithium battery has charged for me fully within about 1 1/2-2 hours which renders 8-10 hrs of playback time. The product comes with a very user friendly user manual. The product can be registered on the makers (Hott) website. The CD player is easy to use. Of course it only plays one CD at a time, but that was fine with me. It has an Anti-shock system and have had no problems with CD skips as mentioned above. There are 5 different sound effects ( or modes I would say) one can use for: double the amount of bass (BBS), Pop, Jazz, Rock, and Classic which, I found, can enhance one's listening experience. The CD Player is made of plastic which may turn some people off. To me, it is well made and is attractive (not cheap looking) is very light and easy to handle. This product works well for me and well worth the purchase. Finally, I qualified for free shipping and received the product within 2 days. Great vendor.

Works for Car CD Player
I'm using this CD player as a substitute for a car audio system that doesn't come with a CD changer/player. It comes with a USB connection for power/charging, a big plus. It has a female 3.5mm stereo output headphone jack, which I connect to my car's 3.5mm stereo AUX-in jack. All I had to do was supply the cable. The CD player sits inconspicuously in my center console (black-on-black) and doesn't react to any movement while driving, so the anti-skip ("ASP" mode) works fine. There are a few playback modes (called "sound effects" in the manual)–Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classic and something called BBS (Broadband Services? Voice? Don't know.)).The overall CD (WAV) sound quality coming through my car audio is higher than the 320 kb/s equivalent MP3s I ripped from the same CDs. I was looking for something, anything, that would allow me to play CDs, albeit one at a time, than resort to MP3s which have a much lower dynamic range that a WAV file. Those who are used to WAV file CDs can hear the difference. The CD711 plays MP3-burned CDs as well. My 4-star "Sound quality" rating is based on being able to turn off the sound effect and let me hear the CD in uncompressed form and it sounds good, even though its 80dB rated signal-to-noise ratio is not on a par with a home CD player. THD and dynamic range are not provided. That being said, I haven't had the unit long enough to testify to its durability and my only complaint is that I have to press the Play button two or three times before it engages. Not a good option as I turn on the CD player after I listen to the latest traffic report, so "Easy to use" is rated 3 stars.
