I have had several Surface pros over the years. In every case, the original charger eventually stops working. Having purchased many replacements that also do not work, I can highly recommend this one as the ONLY charger that works. I have had this one for almost three years with 100% performance the whole time. Better than the original from Microsoft, and much better than any of the many replacements I have tried. Slim build, doesn’t hog space on your power strip or outlet, lightweight for travel. Learn from my experience, this one is the best!

I thought you had to buy "GaN"-transistor new tech for something this small. Not too warm with tablet that pulls low 2.58Amps; I haven't felt it when fully-loaded 4Amps on the non-detachable keyboard "Book" is charging (I don't have Book). Like all except original Microsoft includes, this tip just barely holds on. Great deal when it's on special discounted 1/3rd

My original surface pro 3 OEM charger broke. The cord from the adapter got ripped and bent, and I swear i'm pretty gentle with my cables. I'm an Audio/Visual technician so I know how to wrap cables but i don't know. i guess my charger was just weak. The original charger is annoying cause it's like 2 pieces. the cord to the surface, the ad/dc brick, and the cord to the power outlet. The old charger was a pain in the ass to wrap up in your backpack, and it doesn't seem like there's a correct way to wrap the cable. This new charger is way more compact and convenient for travel. From what I'm seeing, it seems to charge a faster than my old OEM charger. I just got it so I can't say much about durability but I'm hoping it'll last a long time. It's worth a purchase for just being so compact.

Item never worked. Seller never responded to requests on Amazon. Never responded to Amazon either. Never buy from this seller! Beware!!!

Love the charger I always break the cables that come in two pieces like the original charger does but this one since it’s only one piece it’s much better the only thing I don’t like is that the other chargers would have a little light that lets you know when the tablet is charging and this one doesn’t.

I have used many off brands for the surface pro chargers cause the officer brand is way too expensive. Thought I'd try something new for this charger and its great, simple, compact and most of all actually works haha. The surface pro charging design is flawed but at least there is a charger out there that doesn't give up after a month. Highly recommend. Btw I have a surface pro 3 with a case. charger fits great and does what it's actually made for :)

I've been using this adapter for a while now. It is very convenient to carry. Unfortunately, after using it for about five months, I noticed that a small part, near where the adapter connects to the Surface tablet, has broken off. As a result, the adapter was not staying plugged into the tablet. I was pleasantly surprised after writing to the Seller when Simon mentioned that the product comes with a two year warranty. He has sent me a replacement. I am hoping this will last much longer.

The first time I used this charger, as I was disconnecting it, it actually arc'd - it popped and zapped. Looking closer (see pics), it looks like one contact hit the surface's outer aluminum case. I'm surprised, but I don't know if the problem is this charger, or Microsoft's port design. So I'm giving it 3 stars for now. We'll see how it goes - I've only used it a couple times.
