Review: Love this mouse so much I’ve bought it twice - As someone with hypermobile joints, this mouse alleviated a lot of aching in my fingers, hand, and wrist. I previously used a very low profile Magic Mouse and my hand was cramping so bad at the end of the day. With the MX mouse, I control it more from my whole arm rather than my wrist. It only took a day or two to adjust to the vertical style. No pain since. I said I bought it twice - I got the first one 6 years ago on a whim. It still works fine but the rubber in the high traffic touch points is wearing away and kinda gummy. (The texture was distracting.) Still works fine, it’s just been demoted to being a travel mouse for work.
Review: Finally, a comfortable vertical mouse for guys with large hands! - I've been using the Logitech MX Vertical Wireless Mouse for about 8 years now, and I love it. Any time I have to use a traditional mouse it's an uncomfortable disappointment. If you haven't used a vertical mouse yet, there are a couple things you need to know. First - this is just a normal mouse, but it's turned about 60-degrees to the right. This let's your hand rest on the mouse in the natural position your arm wants it to be in without any effort to rotate. Second - you will knock it over, repeatedly, for a few weeks. Because you're used to a mouse that's a just an inch and a half or so tall, your natural movement from keyboard to mouse is going to be interrupted by the height of the MX Vertical. In time, you will get used to this, but for a week or two, you will knock it over when moving to the mouse, and when moving back to the keyboard. Don't worry, your muscle memory will change and this will stop. Third - once you get used to using the MX Vertical, you won't want to use any other mouse. It's a dramatic change in ergonomics, and you will feel the strain your wrist and forearm are under any time you have to use a traditional mouse. There are other verticals that are also great, but as a guy with large hands, this is the best I've found. I have 4 of these now - one at my office, one at my dining room table, one at my desk, and one that travels in my backpack. I don't need all of these, but its handy having them where I need them. Another reason for this is the mouse can pair with 3 devices. I have different devices in each of these locations, so it's handy not having to re-pair when I move between locations. The MX Vertical fits my hand perfect, and all buttons are where my fingers and thumb are naturally positioned. I've dropped them, knocked them down, bumped and tossed them and they keep on working properly, so from a durability standpoint, this will last. It's easy to pair with a push of a button - working with my Windows computers, MacBook, android phone and iPad. This thing just works great! The only downside I'd mention is the coating. After a couple of years, the coating tends to migrate where you apply pressure. This is most apparent where the thumb and pinky finger rest. This doesn't cause any functional issues, and is entirely cosmetic, but just be aware that after a couple years it won't look pristine. All-in-all, this is the vertical mouse to buy if you're a guy with larger hands. Get one, get used to it, and you won't regret it.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this have the Hyperscroll wheel?**
A: The scroll wheel on this mouse does not have the ability to free scroll seen on other mouses in the MX line such as the MX Master.

**Q: How well does this mouse fit small hands?**
A: Hi there,
There are two vertical mouses. MX Vertical is a larger vertical mouse designed for a larger fit (medium to large hands). The LIFT mouse has been designed to offer a new comfort experience to smaller hands ! It is significantly smaller than the MX Vertical. When holding LIFT, you will feel how well supported your hand is if you have small hands.

We are looking forward to you trying it out!

**Q: Anyone have experience with evoluent vm4sw verticalmouse vs logitech mx vertical advanced ergonomic mouse? trying to address thumb/finger pain.**
A: I have no experience with the logitech vertical mouse but I do have two broken evoluent mice and they both lasted a little over a year. Both experienced button failures and the wireless one always had issues with pairing. I'm currently considering this logitech as a replacement based on my experience with my 15 year old wired logitech and my 8 year old wireless logitech mice that refuse to die.

**Q: Does it have unifying receiver? Also, how well it is suited for using it with Mac?**
A: Yes it comes with a unifying receiver. I connected mine to my iMac Pro using bluetooth though and its working fine. Logitech's software lets you reprogram the 3 extra buttons and scroll wheel, but does not allow you to enable smooth scrolling like some other MX mice.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My Thumb Finally Won the Argument
*by W***S on August 19, 2026*

I was a dedicated trackball user for years (another Logitech product). Loved it. Didn't think I needed to change. Then my thumb started telling me otherwise and I had to listen. The adjustment is real. I won't sugarcoat it — coming from a trackball, this feels genuinely strange for the first week. Your hand doesn't know what to do with itself. Stick with it. It clicks eventually and then it just feels right. The vertical angle actually works. The whole point is keeping your wrist in a more natural handshake position instead of flat and twisted. Once I was past the learning curve I could feel the difference. Less strain, less fatigue, happier thumb. Logitech did their homework here. The build quality is excellent, the buttons are well placed, tracking is smooth and precise. Wireless works flawlessly. Feels premium in your hand. The switch was worth it. I miss my trackball sometimes — old habits die hard. But my thumb doesn't miss what I was putting it through and that's ultimately what matters. Bottom line: If your body is telling you something needs to change, this is a worthy upgrade. Give yourself the adjustment period and trust the process.
