I was looking for a lunch box that is leakproof, insulated and big enough to hold lunch portioned meals for me. This bento box unlike the others we have tried does not leak, has a perfect size for my meals and more important it comes with a beautiful insulated carrying bag that can be used by men and women (I bought one for my husband).The design is gorgeous, the material is very sturdy and the quality is the best. I can re-heat my food and the container won't get hot. It's also very easy to clean in the dishwasher.I also received a cooking eBook with great healthy recipes. The company who makes this product is great at following up with customers to double check satisfaction.I'm very happy with this product and have tried probably many other lunch containers. This is better than all of them out there.

I chose this because it was considered leak proof, dishwasher safe, and microwavable. I cook a lot of wet food and wanted to be able to easily fix a lunch for my toddler. This tray design seemed like a good idea because we could just open it up, and he'd be able to eat directly from the tray without opening ziplock bags or small containers. But the problem is that there's no way he could open this lunch box! It is NOT easy to open and close. You have to line it up perfectly, press down to seal, and then push the snaps. Because it's tricky to close properly, our daycare teacher did not manage to seal it closed, and food leaked all over the bag and onto the floor. UGH! It was easier when we first got it, but after dishwashing it several times, it seems to have gotten harder. But that said, it's pretty leak proof when it is sealed correctly. But because we need a lunch box that our toddler can open easily on his own, we're going with another lunch box.

This is the best lunch kit I've come across and my son and I love it! We have gone through so many because they either break easily, are too big and don't fit in a lunch bag or his back pack, or they're too small and don't hold enough food. I started looking for lunch kits like this so we can reduce trash by eliminating plastic bags and things like that so the multiple compartments are VERY important. They don't leak, food stays in it's own compartment, it's easy to clean, and it is really strong so I know it won't break. And the best part is that it comes with a perfect size lunch bag that fits in his backpack very nicely.

These are pretty great, love the sleek case and that the individual sections are leak-proof. Removed one star because the top gets a bit misshapen in the dishwasher and is then somewhat difficult to close. That said, I don't know if these are actually meant to go in the dishwasher, but I don't care because there is no way I'm hand washing these every day for two children. I also wish there was a little more room in the case to shove snacks (there's really not enough space for anything that's not mostly flat), but for the price and quality I would buy this again.

I purchased this box because I wanted something that didn't leak my food from one compartment to the next. That is the only reason I ordered it and it does not disappoint! It seals tightly and my items never mix. Because it seals so well and so flawlessly it is a tiny tiny bit difficult to open, and I would not recommend it for children because of that. I would have liked to have seen a little tab to pull the top off as I am often tempted to pull it by the clasps but I know better than to do that if I don't want to wear them out. Just a personal preference, and a minor thing. It comes with an ice pack, but it is very thin and streamlined. I would not count on it to keep my cold lunches cool all day, but it keeps it cool enough for me to get into my fridge at work. I teach and travel between two schools and live in the south where during the summer it is often 90 degrees in the am by the time I get to my second school. I needed something that would keep my cold food safe sitting in my car from 7 am until 10:30 am. This does the trick! I did not deduct a star for this, because it works and it fits the box. (There is no way it could have been any bigger/thicker without losing the fabulous streamlined shape of the box) This lunchbox is amazing, and worth every penny I spent on it!

This bento box is awesome. Not only is it bpa free which is top priority for me because it is non toxic which means chemicals will not leak into my food but it also is leakproof. No more carrying separate containers for salad dressing and sauces that spill every time I try to pour them. The bag the box comes in is insulated which makes it great for all day carry. Perfect bento box to bring along for work or even a child’s school lunch.

Even though the instructions tell you to hand-wash only, it's inevitable that either you, or probably someone else in your family who doesn't know the hand-wash only instructions, will put this in the dishwasher to clean. Once that happens, you'll never get the lid on securely again. It warps and won't seal. I returned this product immediately, received a full refund (thank you, Amazon!), and purchased a dishwasher-safe METAL bento box from a different vendor (which works great). DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

This is a fantastic lunch box option for my PreK kiddo. Compartments are large enough for items like strawberries and chicken nuggets without having to squish them in. It is easy for her to open and close on her own and while the ice pack is smaller than I expected, it seems to do the trick.I had an issue with the lid going on correctly after taking it on a plane. I still am not sure if it is the base or lid, but customer service is sending me a new one. I am really impressed with the responsiveness and 'customer obsession' of this company. I've already purchased another for my nephew- he is learning about the waste of single use plastics and even at 6, he is going to be super excited with his new lunchbox! I highly recommend this company.

I chose this lunchbox for my 5 and 7 year-olds for school because it was advertised as leak-proof, easy-to-open, and I liked the compartment sizes and that it had a bag. Where it fails:- became increasingly difficult to close, even though we hand-washed the lid every time, as instructed. I had to use a lot of force to get the clasps to click.- there are very specific closing instructions included, and we followed those every time, but after a short time, the lid didn’t stay when pressing down in the middle first (as instructed) and the whole lid bowed in the middle, which meant that the compartments were no longer leak-proof because the seals weren’t touching the tops of the compartments.- the included spoon broke the first time my son used it (not surprised, super cheap plastic)- I contacted the company via their website, which promises to respond after 48 hours “when contacting us for the first time”...not sure about that customer service. It was also worrying that their general contact form, not specifically associated with a return request, asks for your Amazon order#. Anyways, they have not responded, and it has been 4 days. Luckily, Amazon is allowing me to return these and giving me a refund.I’m very disappointed in both the product, and the company’s complete lack of customer service.

So far I'm really impressed with this lunch kit! My 5 year old can open it on his own, no problem. I like that there are a few pockets to store extra things in like napkins, cutlery or notes. The ice pack fits really nicely inside (I put it under the Bento box so it keeps the food cold) and it doesn't put stress on the zipper. The colour is nice too, my son says it looks like Minecraft. I'll update my review after using it for a while when he goes back to school.It also arrived in less than 48 hours and I don't even have prime. So fast!Edited:My son was only able to use this for a couple weeks before it became too hard for him to close on his own, so the leftovers from his lunch went all over his backpack. I have never put it through the dishwasher so I'm unimpressed. It will probably go in the garbage.

This works well but requires a bit of effort. You have to make sure the top seals stay clean. After a bit of use you'll need to press down strategically to keep the seals in place. If they're pushed down properly it doesn't leak at all.It's a bit difficult to clean the seals and the sections have hard corners that make it take a bit of extra effort to clean.I wouldn't trust the seals to last if used in a dishwasher.The included bag and ice pack are really handy and well constructed.

This lunch box lasted only a month for us. After that, all the chambers leaked into one another, and things that weren’t super thin too. Should also add, we didn’t put this in the dishwasher to clean or in the freezer. Babied it and hand washed it every time.Wouldn’t really recommend for quality.To add, they sent us a replacement lid, and the replacement had someone else’s name sketched in permanent marker on the inside of it. Clearly had been used.

Was very happy at first, but these are NOT dishwasher safe. I hand washed for a few days, then decided to throw them in the dishwasher last night.. now the lids are a big struggle to get on and lined up with the bottom, and does not feel secure even after clipped shut. These were advertised as dishwasher safe, and have the 'dishwasher safe' logo on the bottom of the bento box. I bought two for my 6 yr olds, and they're now useless to them. I'm returning both.
