Cosmetology Certification Exam 4th Edition

I feel pretty confident that i'll pass my state exam with this book.The workbook has a lot of in depth knowledge that will make me more profficient in the beauty field. There were many new things as well that i learned ,like how not to fry someone's hair. Good to know. I give this book 9 thumbs up...I'll keep you posted and let you know if i passed.

This book has 4 practice tests, with scan trons. At the end of each test, not only does it tell you the correct answer but tells you why. In school, we use the MiladY books and the school gives us tests provided by Milady. I feel I could answer those questions easily since I had the same worded question asked of me REPEATEDLY.Well, people are coming out of the test saying it is worded very differently than Milady.My only complaint is I would have preferred more practice test and less on the section about test preparation and test taking tips.

I purchased this book for my granddaughter, who was studying of her cosmetology boards in Virginia. She had a little problem with certain parts of the exam the first time around and had to re-take a portion of it. She said the book was fantastic & she passed the exam.When I was perusing the sight and looking for books such as this one, I purchased it based on the reviews and how wonderfully they rated it. The reviews were true to form, my granddaughter is thrilled, and so grammy is happy.

Honestly, I studied so many changes in school it wasn't worth buying g the book. It was nice to have but really I was stressing for nothing about boards. I will say if you have been out of school for awhile and need a refresher, or if you apprentice and didn't have theory classes, or you didn't pay attention in school this for you.

I'm 7 months late with this review...I would encourage all cosmetology students preparing for their written exam to purchase this book. This is a excellent study guide; whether you're several months away from taking your exam. Or even if your 2 weeks away. This book will outline for you how to prepare during that crunch time. The text is very straight forward and it provides explainations to the answers. I am now a licensed cosmetologist...this book helped a great deal!!

Prepares you somewhat with the variety of questions for the State Board. Just be wise that the test will not be the exact same questions as here. My exam only had three questions from the book. I recommended review your textbook.

This is a very good book , I'm a foreigner,I had no confidence to past the written test because English is not my mother language, but I used this book for study ,I past the test at first time at 84 on written .I can't believe it ,so I highly recommend this book .
