Fix-It and Enjoy-It 5-Ingredient Recipes: Quick And Easy--For Stove-Top And Oven!

Great ideas for those who keep a stocked pantry
This book is great for ideas and for anyone who likes to do pantry cooking. There are a lot of pre-packaged products called for, but homemade substitutes are easily usable. The fewer ingredients make the dishes faster to pull together....and I find it easier to have the ingredients I need on hand.

Great Selection
Great selection of recipes included. You really can't go wrong with any of the Fix It and Forget It recipe collections. Nice addition to your cookbook shelf.

Nice to have some EASY recipes for a change. I'm not cooking for royalty, just the family, and so far they've loved every one!!
Wonderful recipe book. Nice to have recipes that don't have fifty million ingredients. I love the spiral binding -- it lays perfectly flat when open on the kitchen counter, which is quite helpful. I've already tried 4 or 5 recipes and they were excellent. I'm not a gourmet cook -- just wanted some easy recipes for everyday meals and this little recipe book fits the bill perfectly. I like it a lot better than the numerous BIG cookbooks I have that involve 20 ingredients for every recipe.

A Very Basic Cookbook - but Didn't Care for It / No Photos but Lots of Recipes
I really love cookbooks and bought a couple of these Fix It and Enjoy It cookbooks. I didn't like them, but I think it was a matter of preference. Pros: It has a lot of recipes. It does give you a lot of recipes for your money and I would imagine if I went through each and every one of them I could pick out some things to make. Cons: The recipes come from a lot of different cooks, it's not by one author. The recipes seem untested sometimes or at least several I looked at I knew much better ways to make them and thought it should have been edited a little better. BIG CON: NO PHOTOS. I know photos don't really tell you a lot about what you're cooking, but these days in modern cookbooks they're a must and I love a nice photograph of a dish. Maybe I would have felt tugged in a dishes direction if there had been a few photos. This is a cookbook like your church puts together and you donate $5 for. Lots of recipes from lots of cooks using ingredients like Velveta and ready made dough. Not exactly fresh and healthy but definitely quick and easy.Probably not for the cooking enthusiast but an okay fit for the college kid away from home for the first time or someone who hates to cook. Like I said I bought this with another one of her books a Healthy Cookbook and wasn't satisfied with either and returned them.

Not a real cookbook
It uses different mixes and put them together, also very unhealthy, I imagine very high salt content, lots of sausages. It is not surprising there are only 5 ingredients.

Great cookbook
I love it, just like all the others.

Not as good as I had hoped
I have other cookbooks from this Fix-It line, and was a bit disappointed with this one. There were not nearly as many user friendly recipes as I had hoped, given the 5 ingredient title. Yes, they did all have 5 ingredients, but often those ingredients were not normally in my pantry. I did find enough recipes that I liked to give it a 3 star, but not enough for a higher rating.

Fix-it and Enjoy-It 5 Ingredient Recipes
Bought this book for my Grandson who fixes dinner several nights a week. My daughter works nights and can use all the help she can get. Although he is only 16, he enjoys cooking. He needed something easy to follow with lots of simple and good recipes. This book fits the bill. A must have for busy families. A well stocked pantry and freezer is all you need.
