cute and functional
I like the size of these bowls, 12 oz is the size of crock we're used to getting in restaurants. I like the color and shape. White is fresh and clean, but the shape is the traditional french onion soup crock shape, and "matches" my fiesta ware dishes!

The perfect crock
I wanted a set of crocks for French Onion soup. I have looked/reviewed at least 50 and bought these. Please note that these crocks are not white. They are more of a gray. The size is perfect and they seem very durable. Very comparable to what you would see in a restaurant. I will be purchasing another set to have 8 in total.

Excellent quality for the money
These are really nice! Perfect size (about 1 1/2 cups), heavy weight, a slight off-white color. I'm glad I ordered these. They came packed really well and in a timely fashion. I don't often take the time to write reviews, but if your looking at these, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Expected China Quality
Nice design and shine. So far so good. Time will tell after regular use and washes. Expected china quality. Don't know about safety because I don't know what materials were used and its safety. America does not do safety inspections nor do China have to follow OSHA and other safety regulations like we do in America. But what choice do we have, everything is made in China.

Great purchase
Bought for french onion soup. Also useful for bread pudding. No problem in oven or microwave use. I thought they were too small, guests said perfect size.Easy to clean, takes up minimal space in cupboard. I'm happy with this purchase.

MADE IN CHINA. DID NOT COME WITH COASTERS.
These did NOT come with coasters. Also, these are made in CHINA. The name of the company makes you think that they would be made in US. They do not clearly say Made in China. And NO COASTERS.

These are not white.
Really disappointed in the color of these bowls. They are not like the white pictured. They are an unattractive greyish tan. Could not even call them cream or off white. More like grey. I would return them, but stuck needing them for a special meal and don't have time to get others.
