My First Typewriter Toy Writing/Typing Machine Playset w/ Replacement Ribbon, Writing Paper, No Batteries Required

Doesn't work. This product is worthless. Each letter that you want to type you must first slide a little arrow to that leter which was hard for me (an adult male) to do and virtually impossible for a child. After sliding the arrow to the letter you want to type you then hit the keyboard. The "keyboard" consists of what looks like a bunch of keys but they are all connected so no need to push any particular key. This in turn pushes forward a mechanism that is, at least in the one I got, incapable of transfering ink from the ribbon to paper. It does come with a replacement ribbon which I tried as well and it had no ink either. In summary, this product is an epic fail and hopefully Amazon will pull it. I intend to send it back and I implore you to not buy this product. I will look for a real typewriter instead as this thing is a joke.

This typewriter arrived defective, since the ribbon is dried out and won't print a thing, but even if the ribbon worked, this is nothing like a working typewriter. What looks like a keyboard is not--all the keys go up and down together as one piece and have pictures on them that don't mean anything. At the top of the keyboard is a slide of sorts, and if you can possibly get it to move (adults can barely do so, no way my kids can) you can move it to the letter you want to type--IF you can see the teeny tiny letters along the slide. And again, in our case it doesn't matter, because even if you can get the barely-moves slide to slide, and push the all-moves-together keys, the ribbon was dried out. Whoever wrote the one highly-rated review must work for these folks, since this is worthless.

It is cute smaller than I thought , also wish it had letters not pictures on keys . It's a gift so I will update when it has been used .So it was broken and could not be used when opened . Push one key and the whole key board goes down .It is the worst thing I have ever purchased from amazon ! Tried to changed star rating but it will not let me .

My child was unable to type with it, neither ribbon worked, they were both brittle-dry. And, all the keys pressed down at once, so she wasn't able to "type" like she wanted. I guess this is more of a baby toy, but again, the ribbon didn't print any ink on the paper.

Ordered two for my kids. They opened it on Christmas day and the ink cartridge wouldn't work, we tried the spare that is included and the same disappointment occurred! I have emailed the company twice over the past 2 1/2 weeks and no response yet!

Never could get it to work. Later discovered it was broken. Didn't matter, though, as we are sending it back. We are sort of relieved after seeing how cheaply it is constructed. Never would have purchased it had we been able to physically examine it in the store. Run from this product and never look back!

This product did not perform as it was described. Nothing like a "real typewriter". The seller was unresponsive after the return to refund the money. After a claim was filed with Amazon they refunded some, but not all, of the purchase price. We were very disappointed with everything to do with this product.

Very disappointed!!! My daughter wanted this so bad or any other typewriter for Christmas. She was so excited to get but unfortunately does not really work. When you type one letter / animal (which I don't know why it is animal pictures instead of letters) all them move together and does not print anything. The ribbon does not work and the letters does not type separate. My daughter cant stop talking about how disappointed she is and want it to work so bad. Very disappointing. :( Also did not come with replacement ink... only two small white papers.
