For every guy or gal with a toolbox there is the potential for disorganisation, Shadow Foam is one potential solution. I found it from a Facebook group for tool slingers that I’m a member of, and given my near miraculous ability to lose even the tool I was just using, I thought why not give it a try.Firstly, the packing is good, mine resisted a battering courtesy of the couriers.Inside was a large sheet of 50mm deep foam with a blue top layer, which matches my Clarke toolbox nicely. The full sheet ought to let me fill out the whole top box.The foam itself is thick but does not have the brittle feel of Oasis style products, or the over stiff and difficult to cut feel of Yoga matting. Shadow foam appears to be a bonded product made of 10mm, or thereabouts, foam, you can see the different strata when you cut the foam to size, however this makes no difference to the quality of the product, as the layers did not delaminate in any way during my endeavours.One con to add here, cutting the foam and removing the excess was easy enough with the supplied scalpel, and might be even easier with a right angle scalpel, but I did discover that the foam is not an anti static product, it was sticking to my nitrile gloves, if you absolutely must have static protection you might have to look elsewhere.Pricewise I was tempted to drop a star as the foam is quite expensive, kitting out a large box with the foam might prove cost prohibitive, but I can’t argue, it did the job I wanted it to do and there was no other suitable foam at a reasonable price point. It’s definitely at the upper end of what I would think reasonable but I can’t imagine that I’ll be needing to replace it any time soon.

I really like this product! Nice to work with takes time depending on what you put in it but well worth the final result. I was looking for something to organise my tools and I like how you can customise it to how ever you want
