The product was shipped on time and is accurate and works well. The instructions were easy to follow as far as calibration was concerned.

The Humidipak, a small hygrometer arrived. It requires the user to put it in a bag with a furnished humidity pack to set it. I did this. The goal is to get the hygrometer to read close to 75% humidity; if it misses that goal by too much, you turn a knob on it to reset it. My knob would not turn in either direction. The device is useless,, so I threw it away. --James

Good size hygrometer and accurate, a little hard to calibrate, it took me 4 attempts (4 days) but it works good after that.

This is a moderately cheap hygrometer with one interesting feature: it allows the user to recalibrate it. Unfortunately, the calibration knob is VERY difficult to use and has a limited range. You can eventually adjust the reading but the process is very annoying and time consuming. The product comes with a calibration bag, which is a nice touch; however, you can make one yourself with a ziplock bag and some damp table salt, so you should not buy this product just because it includes a "calibrating kit." It is worth noting that this kit allows calibration near 75% RH but hygrometer calibration is a nonlinear process so if you want good accuracy far from 75% RH you should calibrate with a different salt test (e.g., potassium carbonate will allow calibration at 43% RH, which is a more useful value if you want to measure ambient home humidity.) I would happily pay double the price for a hygrometer that is easy to calibrate, but I have not found a satisfactory model yet. This hygrometer may meet your needs if you only need modest accuracy and don't mind fiddling with the control knob, but I suspect most users will conclude this product is overpriced for the level of quality.

I bought one of these from the place that I got my humidor two years ago and it has been great.Pros:-easy to read, even when the battery is dying off (like mine is now) it still functions just with lighter numbers-easy to calibrateCons:-Like everything with a magnet in a humidor it has a tendency to not hold all the time-the battery doesnt last for ever :)You probably are not going to find a better hydrometer in this price range.

Given the hundreds of dollars this saved us (vs. an industrial hygrometer capable of calibration), we're very happy. A sturdier casing would be nice, along with a mounting hook of some kind on the back, but really no complaints. So far it's working great to help us watch humidity in our Powder Coating process room. We matched this against another hygrometer, and out of the box it was within 2-3% accurate, so we haven't even needed to calibrate it yet. We hadn't planned on it, but the sensor within is fairly easy to access, and will be easy to clear dust from as it accumulates. We looked at some of the purpose-built powder coat hygrometers that can be calibrated, and they're hundreds of dollars. The intended mounting of this is a cheap piece of double-stick foam on the back; we've opted to strap it to a post next to a thermostat instead, so we can take it off to calibrate it, blow the dust off the sensor, and change the batteries.
