A is for Activist

This book is a scam - for a small board book of alphabets with activist terminology and selling it for 600-900 rupees is a scam to start with. I wonder what the book meant to teach the kids who is the target audience. Sincerely there is conflict of word and action. The book is worth may be not more than 400 rupees (compared to other board books for kids).

An unashamedly left wing children's board book, and i mean proper left, not the old style new labor left which was really central to small c right. Anyway, be warned, if you don't want to introduce you kid to the ideas of, human rights, social justice, equality, standing up for social change etc then don't buy this book, and don't buy it as a gift for anyone who has right wing sentiments or you suspect may do as they will hate the book and probably view it as some kind of communist threat. Personally I like the book, as does my 4 year old daughter, It can be read on a few levels and is nicely interactive. My aim is to try and raise a well rounded, open minded person who can think for themselves and books like these are a useful way to introduce big ideas in a simple way, great for starting conversations. Other reviewers have used words like "preachy" and "indoctrination" to describe this book. Well i would argue that as much as any single children's book can be indoctrinating i would much rather a book that tries to install ideas of an inclusive world than reading my daughter asinine books that teach her that all she can aspire be are imaginary roles such as princess or fairy, who of cause are all pretty. pointless and powerless and who,s only hope in life is to be rescued by some prince or other.

When this book was delivered I had to sit down to fully take in everything that was happening on every single page and the beautifully clever rhymed messages stemming from equality, actual current issues, and bottom line that love is love is love is love❤️. A must have for any nursery to read to your little loved one with love about loving your fellow humankind. 11/10! It’s just art in itself.
