TSUKIUTA. The Animation: The Complete Series [Blu-ray]

This is hard to find! So I was glad to see it on Amazon (worth the price, for me). It's the entire series of Tsukiuta: The Animation (don't confuse it with TsukiPro), and follows the day-to-day lives of the groups Six Gravity, and Procellarum. As opposed to the more flashy "Uta no Prince Sama" series, this doesn't really have any love interest in it, and is more like a "slice of life" genre. The boys go to school, have rehearsal, etc. and the episodes show them as "normal", rather than fantastical, characters. The only episode I didn't understand (since it was kind of weird, in my opinion) was the one where they featured the girl groups who are meant to be foils to the boys'; apparently the girls are in training to be Goddesses of the Moon, or something.....? Weird plot hole there, but I went with it, and I still don't like the girl groups as much as I like the boys. If you can overlook that episode, then this whole thing is fun! My favorite is Hajime -- but You and Shun are fun characters too. And the parody of a "monster movie" when the boys are trapped on an island off the coast of Japan (or wherever they're supposed to be at that point, since they were shooting an MV), is hilarious.

It was just a bunch of mini stories. Would have been better with a connected plot.
