Rain Chains Direct - Rain Chain Gutter Adapter/Installer in Pure Copper

Love that the fish are a decent size. Works well in moderate rain, heavy rain can overwhelm since we have a large roof draining at that spot. The chain is not as flimsy as I feared it might be—the fish are pretty substantial and look great. Heavy enough to seem like the chain will last, but not too heavy to make you worry about your gutters.

I bought this at the same time that I bought the rain chain and it worked perfectly dropping right into the downspout and you can connect your rain chain

This is a great product and worth every penny if you are installing a rain chain. I learned a few things that I thought I should share.First, this item reduced the opening for water to exit by about 50% from the 4in down spout I had in place. If you get a lot of rain this might be an issue.I learned that I get a lot more leaves in my gutters than I realized. I have leaf guards but enough small leaves got through to block the opening, causing the gutter to fill with rainwater. I hope to add a second drain as this is the only downspout I have on this gutter.Apply caulking liberally during install. I thought I was adding enough but I still have a small leak that allows water to exit along a seam and down the wall.All that said, this is a great item. I will likely buy another one in the spring.

I’m a romantic at heart, and I love the vintage look of a nice rain chain. I wanted them on our house that I designed 18 years ago, but the county said our roof and driveway areas were too large and we had to use gutters. Now I have a sweet little She Shed with this lovely rain chain. I love watching the rain cascading through the copper leaves, and the gentle tinkling sound it makes.

Our house had 2 ugly downspouts, one of which was right beside the front door, and they were the main things that stood out visually. I ordered one rain chain and as soon as we installed it and tested it with the hose, we were ELATED! Some water does splash outwards from the cups on the chain, but since we don't get high levels of rain that's okay. And it helps to hang it a few feet out from the house, if your eaves stick out that far. Basically, it works very well to direct the water where you want it. And in terms of appearance, it's wonderful!!! No pictures yet because there's construction equipment outside our house, but this product does wonders for curb appeal!!! Highly recommend, and the gutter installer made it so easy to install, although it does come with its own installer if you don't want to order the more substantial installer as an extra.
