Utopia Kitchen Knife Set with Block Cooking Knife Set - 12 Pieces Stainless Steel Knives with an Acrylic Stand

Knives arrived on time and packaged well. I LOVE them! They are very sharp out of the box and I have used them several times since purchase. I did purchase a sharpener just in case but have not had to use it. They are nicely weighted and the blade and handle are all one continuous piece so you don't have to worry about them breaking. My brother is a Le Cordon Blue trained chef who teaches in a culinary program and was also very impressed with the quality. Love the knife block because it is not bulky, does not take up much space on the counter and is visually pleasing. I purchased two more sets as Christmas presents for my children. You can NOT beat the quality of this item for the price. I can not say enough wonderful things about this set....especially for the largely discounted price!

I hesitated to order these knives after reading such mixed reviews. I’d like to respond to a few of the issues I had been concerned with. Packaging...mine arrived very well packed and in perfect condition. Knife sharpness....they were sharp enough to use as they came. I like the fact you can sharpen them. Weight of knives...they are very light weight but I really love the way they feel on my hand. I see no problem, they seem well balanced and a very normal size. Rusting....I do not put my knives in the dishwasher . I usually wash and dry them right after use so I can’t comment on them rusting. The case is really attractive. I have never been a fan of the wooden knife blocks so wasn’t sure how I would feel about having them set out all the time. Not only do I like them out, but have had several compliments on how nice they look. I didn’t think I really needed the steak knives but after just using them once both me and my husband are fans. I haven’t had to clean the case yet but I can’t see it being a problem. I’m very happy with this purchase.

These knives are awesome they look positively wonderful on my counter top I still have the clean counter space without clutter with this neat and sharp display. The knives are sharp and come with a soft cloth to wipe off I really only need to wash off after use and then wipe dry with the cloth which keeps them shiny and water mark free. I like that the knives are not too heavy but you can feel the sturdiness and they handle so well, the handle is made into the knife so it is easy to grip and use. I am so tired of paying a tremendous amount of money for knives that wind up breaking or dulling. This set has a great price and so far the quality is winning with me.

These are very nice. I love the look of the holder and how u can see the knives inside! Also the knives are all one piece so the handle isn't soldered or bolted on. Makes for a much nicer feel and look. The reason it looses a star is the acrylic the holder is made from is kinda cheap, and I know it will get scratched easily and will definitely cloud over time (make sure to never use windex on it or anything with ammonia or bleach in it or anything that would scour). Also the opening to slide the knives in and out is kinda tight so it could dull the blade if u don't pull it out/put it back with care. Also the "metal" parts on the holder are not metal they are chrome covered plastic and I've seen that stuff tarnish and crack and flake off over time so I wonder if that will happen here. It would have been worth a few extra bucks to use real metal and a better grade plexi for the holder.In any case the design is great and the knives feel sturdy and sharp. For the price it's really a good set. Just beware if you have upper cabinets above where u plan to put it because if u do you won't be able to pull the larger knives out without moving the whole thing.

The knives are a decent weight (not too heavy, not too light), and they are *very* sharp, unlike some knives where you use them a couple of times and already they seem dull. The stand is nice (not cheap) looking, even though it is plastic. I usually hand wash each knife after use, but a few time I opted to put the steak knives through the dishwasher for the sake of convenience. It hasn't caused any noticeable problems, but since I want this set to last as long as possible, I don't plan to do it very often. The only thing that I don't like is that I have to hand dry these or I get water spots, but that is more of a water problem than a knife problem. Still, if you are picky about appearances, that is something to think about before purchasing.I have only had this set for a month, but I will update my review should anything change.

When I purchased this set, I did so thinking that I was getting an amazing deal: It was showing a "Price" of $299.91 which had a strike-through. Below that was the "With Deal" price of only 29.99. However a few hours later when the deal had expired and I looked up the set of knives, the price showing was actually LOWER than the deal price! I was really upset because I felt the seller was deceptive when they jacked up the normal selling price to make it seem like this was a deal that you should not pass up. I did get my money back on the order because I thought that a set of knives costing only $30 could be nothing but junk however, I did try them out and was surprised at how nice they are to cut with after all. They have a good weight to them and look stylish (except for that Utopia Kitchen logo) and they're nice and sharp. I can't say how long they will last but I was very surprised to find that they weren't junk after all.
