The active ingredient Azadirachtin is at 3% in this product whereas it's half that in other brands like Azatrol making it slightly cheaper than other products. The Azadirachtin concentrate is suspended in a slightly oily solution and I mix it directly into the recirculating tank of my hydroponic system. The oil collects in spots in the plant medium - a capillary cloth - but doesn't clog up the piping. The people at Nutri recommended a low ph to keep the oil suspended which I do anyway because I'm dealing with ornamental tropicals. The Azadirachtin was the only product that worked on getting rid of fungus gnats and I continue to use it as a preventative to future infestations.
