I bought this knife for my mother-in-law. It is a beautiful knife. It was sharper than any other knife she had. I liked it so much I ended up buying one for myself. The one my mother-in-law got needed a bit of reshaping on the cutting edge. Greatly pulled to one side whilst cutting.

Wow. I am so favorably impressed with this knife. Just what I was looking for. The heft and balance are far better than one could expect at this price - or even for $50 -100+. And, the fit and finish of the blade and handle are beautiful. Couldn't wait to slice an onion and tomato, both of which were a pleasure. A real keeper. BTW, the packaging is attractive, too, soo you could give this as a gift without hesitation. Don't know why the YouTube reviews of budget chef's knife have missed this one.

To demonstrate, I tossed a fresh head of broccoli into the air and karate sliced it into two, like it was butter. First time I used it I cut myself, so operate sober and work slowly. It. Is. Razor. This is a replacement for my meat slicing knife. I mainly use it to slice meat into pieces. It’s very sharp and works well. It has once cut my thumb while chopping tomato.use extreme caution while using it.

I am very impressed with this knife. It is quite long which made me a little hesitant, but the beautiful crafted handle allows for easy holding and not slipping. I was able to cut anything from bread to watermelons. It also comes in a beautiful case that can be used for storage. I would definitely recommend this knife to anyone looking to add to their collection.
