There is nothing original about this book... but if you continue to read you will see why I gave it five stars.
Well, there is nothing original about this book, except the thing that clearly counts with full clarity in it, the universal and existence reality of freedom. Sure, I am oversimplifying what is great about this book and the accuracy of the content of the book. But again, I say the non-original thing at the beginning of my review because of the universiality of desirable feelings that the practice of these ideas would bring to all who use thewm productively shows the universiality of all things that work no matter what they are.my favorite idea in the book is having a sense of humor about yourself and *creating* security within yourself by yourself. The most powerful thing you can do for yourself is be nice to yourself and then radiate this out to others instead of the other way around, and this book just confirms my viewpoint completely.I also mean by "non-original" that accuracy is not an exclusive right of Richard Bandler's although he is accurate, but the exclusive domain of anyone honest enough to embrace and honestly, productively work with reality. Life and existence is what we make it with love, creativity and courage. From my point of view, the fact that this work is pinpoint accurate in a laser-like sense with it's insight makes it the most "boring", "hackneyed", "unoriginal" work on NLP ever in that it explains ity all honestly, realistically and with no nonsense. Get the picture? Feel my drift? Hear my point? Got it?

Excellent, a book I will return to
The format of this book is different, and that is what makes it so powerful. It contains transcripts of conversations between Richard Bandler and Owen Fitzpatrick, as well as relevant learning metaphors from Owen Fitzpatrick's own NLP practice. There are the usual exercises typical to NLP. What makes this book even more powerful is the way it is structured, with plenty of "open loops" whereby the learning story is left at a critical point, then lots of useful alternative perspectives are offered on the theme of each chapter, before the loop of the original [true] story is closed to satisfaction. Both Richard and Owen give insights that cut through all the ways people make life complicated when it doesn't have to be. They go straight to the core of what really matters.I found the book quite moving and wish it was required reading in schools, especially the insights on how friendships change and how to deal with bullies.I have just finished reading it as a reader. Now I'm going to re-read it as an NLP practitioner and enjoy it on an even deeper level! Most challenges in life are discussed - there will always be something in this book relevant to what is going on in your life. Any reader will find this a book they will return to again and again.

This book is the greatest most insightful book I have ever read on how to achieve freedom.
I own thousands of books and read alot from a Anthony Robbins to zig ziglar never have I read a book that gave me so much freedom with the insights and tools that just reading the first few chapters have already taught me in this book. I gave this book and it's authors 10,000 stars thank you Owen and Richard Bandler
