Fun read
A begginer book for codes and cyphers. Has some fun stuff to try with a bit of history behind the different origins. I'd say this is for all ages but feels written for teenagers.

PERFECT intro to secret codes
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! Very simple, clear explanations of many basic codes, tips for how to make them with household materials, and some brief history of each. Itβs perfect for both my 1st and 4th graders, and the adults are having fun learning & practicing some new skills as well!

Such a great book!
Bought this book for a young family member who is into puzzles and all things cerebral right now. They like The Mysterious Benedict Society, so I thought this would be neat. All sorts of ciphers and encryption/decryption techniques are discussed in a really entertaining and fun way! Definitely a great purchase for your future CIA agent π

Buy this book for tons of fun!
Perfect little book. Includes many ciphers and codes and easy-to-read historical anecdotes about how they were used in history. Buy one for you and another for grandchild. Send coded messages back and forth. I put together an annual Christmas Eve quest for grandkids and find this book valuable in setting up clues, codes and ciphers.
