JigaWatt Cycles 36V Lithium Battery Electric Bicycle Retrofit Conversion Kit

I had several questions about the kit before ordering from JigaWatt Cycles.. All my questions were answered promptly and shipping was also very quick. I received the kit in just 3 days after I submitted my order. It was a pleasure working with the knowledgeable people at JigaWatt Cycles. The kit is very simple to install. I think it took less than 20 minutes total. No special tools were necessary. The only modifications required was some filing on the fork drop outs to accommodate the 10mm axle.The motor, battery and hardware appear to be very high quality. My full suspension mountain bike with the kit installed is less that 40 lbs..After the battery was fully charged I went for a 7 mile ride utilizing 90 percent motor and only pedaling 10 percent of the time. The acceleration was very smooth. At the end of that ride I had utilized only about 20 percent of the charge.The majority of the people that have seen the kit ask why I wanted it. My answer is to go farther and not have to worry about any hills that I may encounter. In the end I will put many more miles on the bike with the motor than I had previously. Too many people buy bikes for exercise and then never ride them.I would recommend this kit for anyone living in hilly areas and or want to actually ride many miles without worrying about encountering a surprise hill or two.

It's a great kit. At first I was very skeptical about the power and the distance coverage on a single charge but after trying it I got amazed. Good quality assembly and a material, slick look, relatively light. I recommend this kit to everyone who is interested in e-biking.

I had this kit installed on my bike in early summer 2014. It has made a huge difference for me. I was able to bike almost daily throughout the summer and it has helped me get in shape. The electric motor only kicks in when you need the extra boost that it gives. You still get a great workout. I was able to ride trails up the canyon as well as some of the country roads nearby. I also used it for a commute to work. With the extra boost from the electric motor, I did not get all sweaty on the way to work and did not have to take along extra clothes and find a shower after arriving at work. And for an electric bike, you can't beat the price.
