Andy Warhol: The Complete Commissioned Magazine Work Hardcover – Illustrated, September 22, 2014

Great book. It contains all the stuff that Warhol did for magazines. Some stuff never been release before. The author went deeper in the research since there were not a catalogue before this book. A lot of photos and information about each magazine that contains Andy's drawings. If you are a fan, buy it. You won't be dissapointed. If you are not a fan and are interested in Andy's work,this book doesn't contain his pictorical work.

I was VERY pleased with my purchase, including timeliness of delivery, packaging, accuracy of description and price. 100% recommendation.

Bought having recently seen the NY show on Warhol and never appreciating just how incredible his early work was, as reproduced here in this beautiful publication.

Its a book, so I read it. Nice pictures too.

Purchased “new,” and this is obviously VERY used. Absolute BS for a $150 book to be torn apart.

It's hard to remember but before becoming an American icon, Andy Warhol was one of the most sought-after commercial illustrators in New York city before turning into a fine artist. With his delicate blotted line transfer drawings Warhol's work had flair and joyfulness that didn't always come through in his fine art. This book compiles many rare illustrations in full color in a beautifully designed slipcased, hardcover book. If you love Warhol this is an excellent publication and highly recommended. Until now the long out-of-print book, Pre-Pop Warhol was probably the best book on his illustration career. But this new book is even better.

Das Buch war ein Geschenk, dass ich von Amazon direkt an meinen Sohn schicken lies. Selbst konnte ich daher keinen Einblick nehmen, mein Sohn war davon aber begeistert. Es liegt als Coffeetable-Book bei ihm auf den Sofatisch und hat schon manchen Besucher dazu verleitet, darin zu blättern.
