Vintage French 11 oz. Le Poulet (Chicken) Mug

This is a nicely made mug that looks like it’s picture but it is much smaller than I expected, especially compared to the vintage mugs I already own ( “Le Chien” mug on left in picture). As an addition to my set it fails miserably.

Really loved this mug and the other one I ordered with a rabbit on it as well. Cool looking mugs and were in perfect condition when they arrived.

As with all the NG mugs this one is beautiful and beautifully made.

Arrived broken.

While the pattern is the same, these mugs are NOT the real vintage size nor shape. You can tell by the rounded base, which sits up off the table; the original series of 18 mugs (1979) sit flat on a table and have JAPAN embossed on the bottom. This new series is only 6 of the designs; also they are a smaller capacity than the originals. Check them out!
