Crespo Pitted Green Olives with Herbs and Garlic, 70g (Pack of 8)

I love black olives -especially the dry type. In the past Crespo olives filled the bill I found the ones I ordered recently were over salty. Mix them in salads or on pizza but don't add any extra salt to either as the olives provide more than enough!

I've been really getting into olives the past couple of months and have tried deli, restaurant, jarred and packet versions. I generally love olives with some garlic and herb seasoning but these olives just taste far too salty for me. If it was toned down a little it really would be the perfect snack as the packets are re-sealable, so you can take a few and return to them hours later.

Good brand, re-closable packaging so they last for days once opened. All varieties of Olives du Marche I have tried were good quality, ready to eat and moist rather than dry or in liquid. The herbs and garlic on this were enough to lift the olives but not strong or overwhelming. Good to snack on from the pack or slice onto pizza, salads, pasta dishes etc.

I tried olives, green with anchovy filling, all from a glass jar - like many I suppose had a similar introduction.Then I holidayed in Turkey in 1995 & a bowl of black olives, dry, oregano & olive oil.I was amazed.Over the years, trying to replicate the taste, the feeling & the love I have for my 1st experience proved difficult.One day I found a jar of dry Crespo olives, it was 'Boom Shakka Lakka'.Anyroads - moved back to my home town, shopping is different from city to the smaller towns & I knew that.Then I realised I have Amazon Prime & I could see if I could get my fave olives!!Well they arrived yesterday.I am so happy.Going to make an Aubergine, tomato & chicken dish today with some cracked Bulghar Wheat - jewelled with these finest black diamonds.Amazon Prime, take a bow.

Paid over £8 for a singular pack of olives to be put through my letterbox, wonderful! As if I'm going to muster up the time to go into town to return a packet of olives, it doesn't even have a delivery note!Side note: these olives are delicious! Shame I only get to enjoy one pack.

I absolutely adore crespo olives and buy them all the time from the supermarket in jars or tins. Have been for more years than I can remember. They are both beautiful and delicious. These were extremely salty though, I’m reckoning this is because they are dry and haven’t been lying in brine. They are still very tasty but I have to be careful about salt intake. I put them through a dish I was cooking and that seemed to help. I know they warn you about stones…which is a good job as I got 2. I luckily felt it before biting down. Good buy great olives. I love them.

The olives are much too salty and only salt, not herbs, nor garlic gets through. Obviously I have opened 1 pack - can I return the remaining packs?

Excellent taste and texture. I use them mainly in soups but they are also an ideal snack.
