These incubators are simply amazing, you just select your bird in the menu and hit 'go' and come back in a few weeks and you have baby chicks! The thing I love about these incubators is that it precisely controls the temperature and humidity. I've tried many times to build my own incubator but the humidity needs to really be dialed in, which is not possible with most other incubators. It also stops turning and makes slight adjustments to the temperature and humidity the last three days before hatching, it's totally hands free. A few things to keep in mind, if you are hatching ducks the default setting may not work properly, there are many kinds of ducks. This incubator is set up for a 28 day incubation, easily adjusted for other kinds of ducks or birds, just know that the default may not be right. Also, if you are at a higher elevation like I am up here at 9000 feet the humidity needs to be increased, I boost it by 13% for my altitude. Hatch rates are also lower at high elevations, I average about 50%to 80%. You can also use 3% hydrogen peroxide to clean your eggs before incubation, there's actually a patent out there that shows a significant increase in hatch rate by using a peroxide wash before incubating. I just bought this incubator again after getting out of chickens years ago, this is actually my sixth one! They work great as long as you only use distilled water and with heavy use the fans tend to get a bit noisy after a few years but can easily be replaced. The resell value is awesome too, I sold my old incubators for just a little less than what I paid for them and they all sold fast!

This incubator has no competition. Great hatch rate and does everything except fill water. Dont waste your time and money on other cheap incubators when you dont have to worry about maintaining temp and humidity. I have one r com 20 pro still running that I bought in 2013.
