BB04B - Bitscope Blade Quattro

Cut down on all the shenanigans and wiring/PSU issues.I have 4 RPI3’s in this, and hope the RPi4’s will also work.

This is a product that is good in theory, but not very well executed.It is also, in my opinion, seriously over-priced on Amazon.The four Pis are mounted upside down on the top-side of the board, or up the right way on the underside, depending on how the whole board is mounted.I assume it is usually mounted with the Pis on the top-side. In which case the LEDs which are beside the four two-pin headers for the connection of power buttons, are then on the underside of the board. Silly. The four sticky-pad 'feet' which are supplied are not sufficiently tall to mount the whole board with the Pis underneath. So the LEDs WILL be underneath if you use the stick on feet.Nice touch is the serial console pins brought out to a three pin header for each Pi on the opposite side of the board.As the Pis plug into female 40-pin headers, the 40-pin male header on the Pi is then not available. Underneath is a 26-pin male header for each Pi. Why it is not the whole 40-pins is a mystery.If I had enough money for a series of racks and multiple Pis, I would buy the BB20 or BB40, or multiples of.But the BB04 or below is a bit small to make it really necessary.But then, it has replaced my cluster mounted in a stack of old VHS video cassette cases and cut down on power lead spaghetti.
