Oy!: The Ultimate Book of Jewish Jokes

I collect joke books. Many have good jokes. This is by far the best. I sent a copy to my Rabbi for Hanukkah.

VERY NICE GIFT

This is a book of Jewish jokes, organized by general topic (e.g. Money, Marriage, Religion.)My wife (Jewish) enjoys most of the jokes in this book. But there are some repetitions - same joke with a few changed names in different sections - and a lot of jokes that are clearly not Jewish. In some cases, because we know the joke well. But in other cases because that's not Jewish behavior. Some of them are obviously Irish-Catholic jokes with some name and title (Priest becomes Rabbi) changes.Other than those, a really good joke book.

This was a gift to a friend that will replace a copy that was lost. He was excited to get it. It was in the shape that we expected an out of print, used book.

These are mostly jokes for the general population. They really aren't Jewish jokes. What makes them 'sort of' Jewish is that the characters in the jokes have Jewish names.The following is what I would call a JEWISH joke...A Rabbi is given an assignment on the 'shabby' side of town. But the Temple is infested with mice. So the Rabbi asks an older/wiser Rabbi what he should do. The older/wiser Rabbi says: Find tiny Yalmakas and put them on the mice. Then Bar Mitzvah them, and you'll never see them in the Temple again.

Makes a great gift for men who are in the hospital or rehab! They don't have to concentrate on a novel. They can turn to any page in the book and be entertained. I 'm going to order more to keep on hand as gifts. Especially good for the "senior" set!

I was looking for a jokes book and found this. I am not jewish, so I don't get many jewish connotations, but most of the jokes are funny.
