Solid and reliable
This is an Apple keyboard that had the keys replaced—turn it over and it says “Designed by Apple in California.” I’ve been using these keyboards for years, as most of the Avid rental houses in New York supply them. The key action is smooth and decisive, and I’ve never had one fail (even the one I spilled a Diet Coke into kept working fine, but a few keys got a bit sticky). You can’t go wrong with one of these.

Very good keyboard
Works great. Looks amazing on the desk. The only problem is with the numeric keypad that sometimes writes letters instead of numbers, but I suspect this could be a problem with MacOsX. I am using this all day and it is a great keyboard.

Apple Keyboard with Avid Sticker Price
This keyboard sure is sexy. As it should be to match the Apple setup. But slap Avid on an Apple device and you got yourself an overpriced + overpriced piece of hardware! Basically, what's happening is this company buys an Apple keyboard, unwraps it, replaces the keys, slaps a sticker on the front, re-wraps it, and shazam! 125-dollar keyboard!Technically, these keyboards work flawlessly, look just like their Apple stock counterparts, and match Avid's default keyboard setup nicely. But da-ang they sure do cost a lot of pennies!
